Anyone remember how we were going to rename french fries “freedom fries” because the French opposed the invasion of Iraq?

Funny, I haven’t heard the big Cheeto bad-mouthing EVs lately.  Has something changed?

Gassing up is active. You have to stop, get out in the lousy weather, pump it and pay for it. Charging is passive. I plug it in in my warm garage when I get home and go on with my life.

I have never paid for charging either of the 2 Chevy Bolts I have owned. I charge at home when I need it, (off-peak between 11pm-7am for cheaper juice) and have taken a number of trips in them that were 230 miles round trip.  That works for me.

If the problem is mainly long commutes, why not just charge at home? You’ll never have to stop to refill/recharge. That’d be worth the cost of a fast charger installation, wouldn’t it?

You can get all kinds of things road legal in the UK, but I guess  the wank panzer is a bit too much. Every time I see one it looks uglier to me.
