They were required reading when I was a young'un. The writing is simple and easy to read, but not that good. The characters really are insufferable. You'd be better off just reading the Book of Revelation in the Bible. It's just as wackadoo, but way better stylistically.

Haha! The sad thing is, I find the work in MoBa's collection to be far more interesting than Nick Lord's work.

There is sometimes a little justice in history. A month from now, nobody will remember this painting even exists. Because other than triggering a little juvenile giggle or minor indignation, this painting isn't adding anything of substance to our lived experience. That is something only good art can manage.

Oh man, I could take you to a dozen NY art galleries TODAY that make this crummy painting look like it deserves a goddamn Golden Lion. So yeah, art is due for a really good fuck.

You can call something a shitty piece of art without infringing on one's right to make said shitty piece of art with impunity. It's the flip side to freedom of speech. People have the right to say whatever boneheaded bullshit they want, and their audience has the right to judge them harshly.
