That strikes me as a deliberately bad faith reading of the spirit of the piece.

I truly don’t understand why people who feel this way continue to visit this site. Literally every single story, no matter the content, context, or author is littered with comments that all feature some variation of:

“lol, imagine calling yourself a (journalist|author|blogger) because you write for

I think this is just you.

Find another site, dipshit

Do better Jalopnik.

I’m having flashbacks to your previous period of employment at this online publication when you would post practical motorcycle reviews and people would, for some reason that I’ve never understood, crap all over you.

I found a cool thing on the internet, thought it was fun, and shared it with you. If you don’t like it, you can read one of the other five pieces I’ll publish today. Thanks for your feedback.

the funniest part of this remains that his hair loss doctor wrote an impassioned letter to the judge saying he shouldn’t go to jail because he’s helped people deal with their own hair loss.

This story seems like utter bullshit. Are they really claiming the AI could figure out *what* a comms tower is, reason how the tower is responsible for sending it commands, and then destroy the tower?! I’m guessing this ‘simulation’ was actually a *real person* tasked to imagine they were an AI, and then act

So it’s official now. “Literally” no longer means what it used to mean?

Literal rain would quickly destroy your equipment. Figurative flag on field for literal penalty.

This looks fun. It reminds me of all the Flash driving games of my youth. There was one in particular that was really liminal like this, it put you in a Mitsubishi L200 or an Eastern European bus of some kind (an Ikarus? or a LiAZ?) and had a small cityscape to explore surrounded by a few hills, but IIRC the cars had

I feel a little bad for the guy who got scammed; wouldn’t wish that on anybody… but, ehm… if you need to borrow money from your friends/family to come up with $28k to buy a Hellcat, then you probably shouldn’t own a Hellcat.

No feeling sorry, no contributing to go fund me. This was a fool trying to be fooled. And was searching for a hellcat but didn't have $26k to get one? Even in the best timeline, this was a failure waiting to happen. What was the original plan, to put 12k down on one for a flip, and hope to get one cheap enough from

It would be, but they can’t find them.

I wanted them to have a concept named after a former Jalopnik writer that had questionable modifications and tonnes of rust

The main reason I like FWD cars over the years has been for packaging reasons. It’s generally so much more functional in it’s size class without any drivetrain in the rear. Platforms with AWD versions usually compromise rear deck height and generally throw any type of spare tire to the curb, never mind a full size

Savage.
