This is a woman who reported from WAR ZONES- and THIS is the interaction that left her shaken? It’s a bad fucking take and she should know better.

I thoroughly enjoyed this!!
I hate scary movies. HATE them. I love “The Others.” It still gives me the creeps (JFC, when the servants show up in the door frame/window), but I do think it’s a nearly perfect film. I will watch it any time I see it on TV.
True— most of our outings were on weekends (we are working from home and somehow working longer hours). We tried last week on a Tues or Weds, no dice, but TODAY (Sun) we found single rolls of Scott’s! Not my first choice, but still made my day. Limit 4 rolls, so we got two for my in-laws (who are finally staying…
Absolutely! I love getting ‘paid to poop!’ ;)
We live on LI and haven’t been able to find TP in stores for the past 3 weekends. Will this 4th be the charm? If I leave the house, we’ll see! We always keep an extra pack or two on hand, so we have another 4 rolls or so left, but yeah, I feel a pang of anxiousness when I see our dwindling supplies. It’s not the end…
This sentence brought me my first smile of what’s going to be a long week (thank you!!!): On a subsequent walk that week they didn’t talk business because it was their wedding anniversary, so they only talked about what they love about each other. I think I levitated off my couch while reading this.
I introduced my husband to Hot Fuzz first, and I’m pretty sure that’s what made him propose (only kind of joking). Then he discovered Midsomer Murders and said HF lost some of its luster to him. I told him neither one negates the other’s awesomeness!
This thread is absolutely glorious and warmed my heart. I lost one of my black cats in May and it seems weird to have just one. Those Oil Slick twins made my heart skip TWO beats.
I have a bad habit of only buying one (I KNOW! not anymore...) that inevitably goes bad, but I still use that dried out lemon in a bowl of water to steam clean my microwave. My Nana would be proud. She wouldn’t admit it out loud, of course, but she’d be proud. You are absolutely right-- 3 is minimum needed!
This is impressive. I think I need to do the ‘get up even earlier’ tactic to tackle some of those chores I could be doing in my extra, pre-work time!
Yes, yes, YES! I easily save 2-3 hours commuting time when I work from home (which is only 1 day a week max, but still). I am not always the best at getting up right away— I am going to try your tip of getting up even EARLIER and see how that helps me get more done.
My family would have multiple cats at a time (I mean we all need our ‘own,’ right?) but I have only had 1-2 at a time. I always worried there wouldn’t be enough lap room and one cat would feel left out, but something tells me yours find a way to make it work!! So glad you get to spoil THREE!

My Ollie passed last May, and it feels WEIRD to have just one cat right now. Mitzi is 17 and I’m not sure if it’s worth stressing her out to get another one just yet.. so she gets lots of extra attention and snuggles. I bought a similar one about 6 months before Ollie died, and my only regret is not buying it sooner.…

But Natalie owns her own production company, which seems like she has a better grasp than the average actress at hiring female directors.
I never doubt her sincerity, but sometimes it’s easier to accept than others (because of my issues, not hers). I am really so, so thankful for them, even if sometimes it’s a sharp contrast to what I had/have. Thank you for your comment-- it is an adjustment.
Thank you for sharing this. My husband grew up with two great (not perfect, but very loving) parents and I couldn’t help but pick up on his unspoken suspicion, early on, of “what’s wrong with her that she’s not close with her parents?” Then he met them and it clicked. I didn’t cut off my mother for over a year because…
I went online to do this and they said “Sign up in store.” Like, WHY, CVS? Why do you have to make this so difficult?? Gah.
My husband lived in London for 7+ months and became a convert. We bought a few for relatives for Christmas, and they were initially skeptical & reluctant, then a month or so later, also complete converts. We drink French press coffee almost every day, I love a lot of tea, and I also use it to sterilize the kitchen…
Yes! I lived in the building next door to Karam and LIVED for their toum. I’ve yet to find another one as good. That and their green lentil soup are two tastes I miss the most from Bay Ridge. My husband & I go back every year on Marathon Sunday and bring the half chickens and extra toum home on the LIRR. YUMMMMM
