but he generates $800 million in box office revenue doing it this way (where he gets paid as a star and producer). so i think he’s good.

but I respect that he puts himself in harm’s way rather than delegating it to some nameless stuntman.
i dont know about you, but on paper, “a generic Tom Cruise film with Americanized generic John Woo film action” sounds like a financial success. i mean, is it art? i don’t know... but yes, i can definitely see why people would think that would get butts in seats. then again, i like chocolate covered bacon. so... YMMV.
you never played with toy cars as a kid, where you’re like pushing them across a desk, then hit a “ramp”, ride along the wall for a bit, do some flips, land on the dresser, and continue going from there while you made “vrooom wooooosh” sounds? because that’s exactly what F&F taps into for me. it’s Childhood Toy Cars…
Iron Man’s theme is really anything AC/DC (though particularly Back In Black). similarly, GotG is more soundtrack based than score based. but now i can’t hear “Hooked On A Feeling” or “Escape” without thinking of GotG. but there are others...
there have been some good scores lately (mostly from Giacchino).
beyond just notes, didn’t the Zodiac Killer leave them in the form of cryptic puzzles for the detectives to solve? sounds familiar?
i’m getting Über Incel vibes from Dano’s Riddler. like the quintessential Trump-loving, conspiracy nut, anti-stuff incel.
Oscar Isaac was in a hoodie. it’s gonna be dark.
Kitty Pryde was too minor a character in the X-Men films to have her backstory really delved into
my guess is that this will be the first episode stinger. they’ll set up Isaac as this British guy, then the last scene, he has a completely different accent.
Oscar Isaac as Rami Malek as Moonknight
as of writing this comment, this video is standing at around 4m views. on the high side, that would translate to roughly $120,000 made from just this video where he goes over his loss (so far).
FYI - i mentioned in another comment, i think Ghostbuster 2 mishandled what a post-Ghostbusters world would look like, and Afterlife just exacerbated it as it doubles down. people don’t acknowledge the ghost attack in NYC? and after second one, even less people acknowledge it?
Nearly half the country believes the election was stolen, despite having zero evidence to support that.
this is exactly why the petition requires a picture. keep the volume down. if it was REALLY that important, you’d try again.
he got it back in September. he dealt with it like anyone with a net worth of $100m would deal with it.
i’ve made this point in another comment, but this one is hard to compare, b/c IMO a real life murder, or terrorist attack, or even all out war, would not be as unforgettable as a giant marshmallow man or the statue of liberty coming to life and confirming the existence of the afterlife. this is question that has been…
true, there are some. but it is generally accepted by a majority of people that it did happen. Afterlife had that ratio flipped, which took me out of the movie, because even in a fake world with ghosts, that seemed illogical.
i’d check the percentage of the population that believes those things though. a fringe group not knowing would make sense. but the majority of people in Afterlife didn’t believe in ghosts nor know who the GB’s were.
