It's supposed to be gorgeous in Chicago this weekend, so I hope it goes well! Enjoy!

Ugh, I know. Everyone is like "oh just turn it upside down and strip".. Bullshit.

Angel in Montgomery is such a gorgeous song.

Not horrible enough. Pancreatic cancer?

No kidding, it doesn't end with an exclamation point and for all its offensiveness, it's fairly coherent.

And McConnell, Ryan, McCain, Huckabee, and hundreds of other racist, misogynistic, rich white men who have taken over this country so they can hand it to others like themselves. And all the fucking morons who voted for that ass-clown and can't see the forest for the trees. Not that they would know a metaphor if it

Are they still making ribbon candy, or is the stuff our grandparents put out in a candy dish 40 years ago still around?

What absolutely floors me is that Trump has never once gone into detail about how he plans to get anything done, but his supporters still eat it up and ask for more. It's like government is a Hogwarts spell and it will just "happen".

I'm sure transparency has about 2 syllables too many for them to grasp its meaning.

This year alone I had my kids do whittling, learn how to put up and take down a tent, how to use a compass and how to tie several kinds of knots. It's actually pretty handy. Oh, they made a birdhouse too. If I gave them a glue gun I could see them burning the shit out of each other with it.

Cannonball Run definitely is more of the "good time" chase movie. I haven't see Gone, but Easy Rider gets dark.

How has no one mentioned After Hours? That is such a great, underrated movie.

I think we all just assumed.

NONONONONONONONONO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I HATE YOU

Oh man, it grabbed me from the instant it started. This is going to be in heavy rotation.

I saw Willie here a couple of weeks ago, and it was incredibly disappointing. I mean, I know he's 85 or so, but he was just phoning it in.

Some really great stuff this week; I love the Dirty South. Have you heard their new one yet?

Pig Destroyer is a great band name.

Love Mingus, listened to him myself this week! And I am a super funk fangirl; LOVE both Isleys and Heatwave. I saw an amazing documentary on the beginnings of funk, how it started in Dayton OH. I wish I could remember the name of it.

If you want to get into more reggae, might I suggest Jimmy Cliff The Harder They Fall, and some Black Uhuru.
I actually listened to My Aim is True this week, and forgot to list it below. I love that album so much.
