Normally I’d agree with you, but with Frida her fashion was a huge part of her art. At the time in Mexico, young women of her socioeconomic background dressed in very Euro centric styles. Frida discarded all of that and dressed in a very traditionally Mexican way to get away from those ideals of beauty.

Any goodwill for this asshole flew the second he chose to spit on and then slash a woman’s arm because she refused to give him the attention he somehow felt entitled to. I can’t believe the number of people who try to defend the obviously indefensible.

I still remember the guy on the freeway who waved his dick at me from another car. God was I ever flattered by that. Actually I’m still fucking grateful I was speeding (literally doing about 80 that day) down the freeway and was able to exit before the asshole could change lanes and follow me.

I would handle the situation the exact same way, and her boss is a monumental asshole. You can tell him I said so. You are not being dramatic. He was informed in his first interaction with her that she is only 17 and yet continues to leer at her for hours on end. That’s just fucking gross and inappropriate.

It certainly doesn’t help that I have massive ear infection (haven’t had one since I was a freshman in high school) and am on pain medication, which I never handle well in any case. That response was just too much for me right now.

It took some effort but I finally got my husband to understand the concept that women are often nice to men in those situations due to fear.
