I feel sorry for people who do that too. Gaining new experiences and insight is what I think the point of living really is.

I've since learned that they have caved to consumer demand, but it still sounds nasty to me. I will actually try it before I dismiss it because I try not to do that with any culinary experience.

I would only do something that nasty to someone who acted like an asshole when I politely tried to explain to them why I couldn't make them an iced cappuccino. Most of the people who ordered stuff like that, or the ones who ordered vanilla cappuccinos expecting that crap from the gas station actually appreciated me

The ones who ordered non-fat, putting extreme emphasis on it who then turned around and wanted extra whipped cream, and I'm talking about the ones coming in and saying, "Please remember to make that non-fat, please only use skim milk," about five times before asking for extra whipped cream. Those were the ones who

I make up words all the time. My husband and I have our own little pidgin that most people who aren't extremely close to us have trouble understanding, but we both know proper English and use it when we are communicating with other people. I also don't expect everyone to know what a cappuccino is, and I was always

Why would Kosher be any better or worse than any other food item?

They really are laughing at him and his wife, but he doesn't care because only idiots work in the service industry according to him.

fanciful people out there who are now

I kind of love you right now for that because "words mean things" is my battle cry. I can admit I'm sometimes a bit too pedantic.

With the way they were behaving (acting like entitled jerks) I figured they'd had enough caffeine for one day so I was helping them out. Oh no, I was being a total bitch in the only way I could be in retail.

Oh I'm sure he and his wife have already been featured here and probably on customers_suck back when LiveJournal was still popular and any other place where people in the service industry go to vent about entitled, moronic customers. Hell they probably drink nothing but decaf when they go out.

I love you a little for that!

I can't imagine wasting an opportunity to try out places like that in Northern California. I really cannot wrap my brain around that unwillingness to at least try new things. My husband has to be careful because of several food sensitivities (thank God nothing fatal just lots of pain and discomfort) and even he is as

Truly they are.

That almost describes my entire family. I understand not being exposed to much of the culinary spectrum because I wasn't until I got a bit older and was buying my own food, but to just straight up not try new things is just odd and ridiculous to me, outside of dietary restrictions due to medical issues. I actually

Are we cousins? You have just described my family. We plan family gatherings where everyone brings food, and I usually end up taking almost all of my food back home because no one (except my dad and my husband) will even try what I bring because it doesn't look like what the rest of them have eaten all their lives.

Not only gross but very distracting, and I completely understand getting excited by that.

I love frozen custard.

I worked there for the worst eight months of my life back in 2002.

Never been to New York City, but when I get a chance to go there I'll definitely check this out.
