I was skeptical as to how this could be an “oral” history but I apologize for my skepticism, this was a great read.

A few months ago I was home by myself, getting dinner ready and doing chores. I had some chicken breasts boiling to make chicken salad, the water was just really getting going, and I decided to take the garbage down real fast.

Don’t argue with a German when it comes to paperwork.

I locked myself inside my office building. I was brand-new to the job in a new city and knew no one. I wanted to bring in some stuff for my office on a Saturday when it was easier to park, and coworker said, “Oh, just make sure you have your badge! It’ll unlock the doors so you can get in and out.” No problem.

This isn’t dumb. I got locked inside a corporate garage in Germany. It was before cell phones could be used everywhere.

Locked emergency exit? I’d be giving the fire department a call when I got out. That’s something they needed to fix that very night.

I guess -now- there’s not a whole lot. I keep thinking in Hollywood movie terms where if you want someone to shut up and you’re a royal/leader of state/etc you will find a way to get them to shut up.

I know Meghan and Harry were the focus of their wedding but seeing Charles escort Doria and Camilla around on an arm each charmed the hell out of me.

Tommy Lee is still a messy-mess and his kids resent him, color me not shocked. Also, Duchess Meghan’s dad.... sure Jan.

Here’s my theory: Meghan had already cut ties with him pre-wedding. Otherwise, if he just played nice and didn’t talk to the press he probably would have gotten much more dignified coverage and likely financial support from Meghan.

Can’t they pay him to shut up? I would give him a cool million on the condition he never sells another story.

Give Trump a chance? First off, I don’t believe Prince Harry said any of that, not for one minute. He’s cozy with the Obamas and probably would have invited them to the wedding if it had happened during his term (but typically avoids getting involved in politics).

Sure, I believe Prince Harry starting talking conservative politics with a man he barely knows. Did Samantha write his script? The wedding was much better off without him. Beautiful, serene Doria beaming with joy. Nothing more perfect than that.

Plus, it’s hilarious when the babe is hungry and decides to chomp down on dad’s nipple.

Sounds like Harry was trying to be as non-commital as possible re: politics. Not surprising, since he’s potentially about one yacht-accident away from the British Throne, and they frown upon the Royals getting involved in politics.

Bobby, the shirtless pics are because new parents are encouraged to bond with their children using skin-to-skin cuddling. It helps regulate the body temperature and breathing of the newborn, lets them feel the warmth of human contact, and helps them adjust to life outside the uterus. It’s good for the baby, not just…
