What are your thoughts on Japanese cheesecake? It was wild in my city when it came out back then- just huge lines! Then I had one and it was fine. It’s light and fluffy but when I want cheesecake I want a cheesecake so dense not even light can escape its gravitational pull.

Normally chewing doesn’t bother me but it seems like this “person” was deliberately smacking and just making the most amount of noise possible with the biggest open mouth possible.

I’m a BIG fan of Kraken Spiced Rum. Smells heavenly. Perfect in a Rum and Coke. Add a little Chambord and you’ve got my signature cocktail. 

I was just thinking that I keep hearing about deductibles but I don’t really know what it means because either OHIP pays for it or it doesn’t, and then my employee insurance either pays for it or it doesn’t.
Maybe we have something like it? Does car insurance work like that?

I did this! It *is* wonderful. My husband and I definitely got our money’s worth in drinks and then I tipsily stumbled around the shopping district there where I found a cupcake ATM and was just DELIGHTED and had to order one and was SO HAPPY with my cupcake. 

I love making my own dairy products (butter and ricotta are fun!) but I have to admit I do it for the joy and bragging rights rather than any sort of cost savings. Dairy manufacturers just have that economy of scale that I can only dream of.

The worst is Black Friday nonsense is a full thing here in Canada, for NO REASON. We have a “big shopping day” and it is called Boxing Day. I know retailers are doing it for extra money but it pisses me off. If we have to deal with Black Friday then we should get a second Thanksgiving, at the minimum!!

Good class containers are worth their weight in gold. There’s a brand Canadian Tire carries (I forget the name) but the container is glass, the lid is plastic and there is a rubber seal/gasket so that it is leak-proof. Comes in all sorts of sizes! The small ones are perfect for snacks (I make a week’s worth at a time…

I long for a dishwasher with every fibre of my being. I hate doing the dishes.
