I love this show SO MUCH. The first season was *chef’s kiss* perfection. Non-stop plots and drama and Ben McKenzie.

I always understood them to be in New Jersey, across “a bay” from each other.

I'm also in Canada and we are a bit more relaxed about such things. We also don't have truancy officers (I was always very confused when I read about them in Archie comics or other youth books)

You are correct. My entire life’s mission is to go where you are and make sure I have a child vomit on something of yours. Preferably something expensive and then I’ll run away.

Love going on trips in the fall. So much quieter!

Watch the previous one as it builds off of it (Rogue Nation).

Im so glad they brought back Ferguson’s Faust. She was SO COOL in Rogue Nation and I would 1000% watch her spin-off.

Had to make sure someone pointed this out. The man is excellent.

Meryl has been in the hot Grecian sun for twenty years and this looks much older than she actually is.

Niagara on the Lake: Picturesque AF.

ALWAYS check the hotel websites/Groupon for deals (especially Canadian side). The room isn’t too much and then they throw gift cards at you. My family goes just to spend time at a hotel and have dinner (The Keg. Americans, you will like the Keg). We don’t even go see the Falls. However that area is VERY tourist-trap-y

That was also one of the many things that popped out. Like, wiping doesn’t stop discharge??

Four-part miniseries! It’s on Canadian Netflix is you have access to it.

ALSO ALSO I will watch anything with Matthew Goode in it.

I remember the books being OK for me - but I think I was finding “two supernatural beings who should be enemies are in looooove” trope a bit annoying. However the scene with the oubliette was appropriately scary. Made me appreciate oubliettes.

Just move to Canada. All burgers are well-done here. Illegal otherwise.

I’m pretty sure it’s not cheaper but I enjoy making my own butter and nut butters.

This story is WILD.

I read the (quite thorough!) Wiki synopsis and it also wasn’t what I was expecting. With a title like that and the weird familial relationships shown in the trailer I thought we were going to find out that Charlie was actually grandma’s baby and that was the deep, dark family secret.

How far does this record-keeping business go? Just curious - like a reminder scribbled onto a post-it has to be kept for posterity?
