I just hate lazy US bashing, especially when it’s nominally to a new resident. “Hey, sorry you’re moving here, it sucks!”

Damn Torch.....you had a productive holiday break didn’t you? What did we do to deserve so much Torch awesomeness to start the year?!
FYI: the dummy light in your old MK4 Golf headlight was a placeholder for the fog light in the upgraded lighting package. (source: owned a mk4 gti)
Though I’m not someone who actually knows what he’s talking about, wouldn’t fake headlights be a great place to put all the sensors and cameras and gibbins and guffins that all those adaptive whatsits and whosits need? Way better than the standard “big piece of plastic we slapped a picture of a grille on” at a minimum.
My dad actually had an old ass celica that the only way to get it started was pushing it out and let it go down the hill to pop the clutch. He drove volkswagens almost constantly growing up so I think that is what got him. He makes some really good point even if you want to be a smart ass about it.
This is literally the most boring what car should I buy ever.
I feel like this guy stumbled into the wrong web site. Either way, I hope he enjoys the CR-V he ends up getting.
That is quite interesting. My dad told me you have to learn in the manual cause that is actually learning how to drive. He also knew that learning in a manual causes you to actually learn about governing speed and it keeps you more engaged. Americans these days are more concerned with convenience so they can play…
Some might say that the pedal delete has been the most popular new car option for decades.
Bout time.
Nah, the vette doesn’t need to be beautiful it needs to be fast and “cheap.”
I’m sure absolutely nothing can go wrong when wall street scammer douchebro culture intersects with nascar douchebro culture. 🙄
I am shocked, shocked! to learn the mouthpiece for this particular cryptocurrency is apparently a humongous douche.
As a developer that just dealt with a year rollover issue, time is hard to get right. Stuff like this is why you really want ota updates in your car. The “I don’t want my car to be a computer” fantasy is long gone and the best you can do is make the fixes easier.
If only the actual cars were stuck 20 years in the past as well...
I agree with 2ndgear on the tail lights. The tail lights of the C8 are the least of its problems.
I’ve made peace with BMW’s styling direction (and, by extension, Lexus and other luxury marques with enormous grilles) by realizing that us Westerners are no longer the target demographic.
At this point, I’d be happy with a short run of something inspired by the second gen Camaro (which is so much better looking than the Boomer-bait ‘69 they’ve been hearkening back to for over a decade), but I half suspect growing Radwood-era nostalgia is going to bring us something inspired by the 3rd gen, very soon.…
Designer A: “We need updated headlights! Those sealed beams from the 70's, yikes!”
