It’s an inside joke on this site based on a quote from a Shilling article last year I think. I don’t think he was trying to make actual commentary

That sounds not fun. I would never use one of these as a daily commuter, this is purely a lifestyle/weekend/leisure car. I would never have the top on.
Being born abroad somewhere with no pickup trucks I was obsessed with Walker Texas Ranger’s truck as a kid so that’s what I’m going with
I don’t know why I like dropside truck beds so much. I wish you could get those from factory on non 3500+ models
That’s exactly what my friend did but did not hold on to it for long due to circumstances. It was sweet but kinda difficult to live with. I still would love to have one but I want it to be a top off cruiser and those tops are heavy and hard to take off and take up a lot of space. When I win the lotto and move into my…
I’m spoiled. Slow and steady would be a welcomed change of pace right now though
Won’t give you any trouble except every time a light turns green
Not that long ago these things were going for 3k, this price is actually very good for the current market and the truck is in great shape... if it had the 351. This thing is so slow it might as well be a statue ND
Friend of mine got an Alucab put on his Colorado and it’s pretty damn nice. Topper plus installation you’re in the ballpark.
This is the right take. I have to haul things pretty frequently, it’s all light but takes up a lot of space. I figured dealing with the tall bed sides is my own damn fault for getting a Raptor but all the new RAM 1500 are just as tall. Who the hell thought hoisting things above shoulder level is a good idea?
Please give us a poll to vote on writer submissions. And if this isn’t the most Subaru WCSIB ever I don’t know what is.
Skid plates seem reasonable. I don’t mean anything bullet proof of course. You’re not adding that much weight and the plastic covers are pretty much only there for air flow and keeping out dirt.
I assumed that’s just an artifact of being a truck built in 1961. Or would they not be this bad normally?
It’s not that it is difficult for me to fix it, it’s the concern that if the owner didn’t take care of something that easy and obvious what else is half assed on the truck
I come here for the comments as much as as the articles. You can have discussions/interactions with the other readers and then just completely skip the subsequent summary slideshow.
Exception being making a scoop shape with your hand and reaching it back so those passengers can give you candy
Badum, tssss
I assumed your statement was about purely ICE, that’s my bad.
I would like some background on the 50% thermal efficiency claims. Specifically how they would scale to practical application. We have to limit combustion temperatures because of emissions and we can’t purely optimize for a narrow operating range because then it becomes “undriveable”.
I am baffled that Mazda is not treating electric as the new rotary. They have rotors!
