That sounds too draconian to me. There will be a loophole and it will be exploited

So are a lot of dealerships going to pop up right across the border in Idaho or what? Is there going to be a big new racket “importing” gently used new-ish cars from other states? This doesn’t sound like effective legislation.

This thing is pompous. All touch screen that looks way better than it will function and will be covered in fingerprints. White interior because I’m too rich for dirt. Two tone paintjob to mimic the Maibach. An ipad bolted to the back of the front seats so make it feel like I’m flying business class. Trick door handles

I’m working off the assumption that anyone who has to strap in a kid or has a frequent rear passenger would skip this configuration all together. My experience also comes from half doors on trucks and if you’re parked somewhere tight you really need to plan ahead where you approach the front door from to open it

That’s a good point about the pillar. I would’ve though they learned their lesson with the RX-8. My guess is this thing will not sell great because it is effectively a 2 door car.

I hope those suicide doors can open without opening the front door first. That’s their biggest downfall, especially when parked in tight spaces.

I don’t know anything about bikes, should be allowed nowhere near them. These super bikes, I assume they get ridden? 30k is a lot more affordable than 1mil+ so a regular person can get one and they don’t have to collect dust in some sheik’s garage. Would this thing be awful to daily or use on the street in general?

Meh, this looks fine. A little busy on the styling but nice looking

Aerospace industry might invent some cool shit that trickles down into consumer goods but saying it runs decades ahead of anything is straight out of bizzaro world. Our infotainment systems would probably still be running on DOS

I’m envious of the guys that were there in the Hughes days as they still get a pension

Why is this website so jank?

My comment has nothing to do with the article. The stupid ads at the bottom are obscuring the comment section which majority of the time is what I actually want to read. Fuck you Kinja

I definitely bought more bike than I have talent or courage for. Decided to hedge my bets in case I really get into it because I can’t find anything in my size second hand

To pre-empt the inevitable comments about range and time to charge, I’m sure they did some case studies on how these trucks would operate as well as how current ICE ones do.

I think a full suspension non department store bike puts you over 1.5k. I have considerably less insight into road bikes but those things get crazy as well.

Please give us a poll to vote on writer submissions so we can all agree that the Fit is the perfect car for everyone except me. I need something completely different for no good reason.

Dude 700 is nothing for a mountain bike. I’m not judging because I felt the same way when I bought mine but people that are really into mountain biking consistently spend minimum 2-2.5k. It’s actually not unusual to see a car that’s worth less than the bike attached to its roof.

This whole thing just seems like an unviable business model. Drivers are getting shit pay, restaurants are probably close to losing any margin on these deliveries. Doubt doordash itself has actually turned a real profit either. Fleecing investors doesn’t count as real profit in my book

Honestly I wrote that while on a break from cleaning my house. Watching a video at any speed would have lead me down a rabbit hole and no more chores would have been done.

I’m curious but not “watch a 30 minute video” curious. Someone give me the highlights/rankings please?
