We don’t seem to be discussing why they are putting everything into the touch screen. It reduces cost. It’s just a cheaper implementation both in terms of parts and design cost. I’m curious how much it would add to MSRP if they had to develop a proper traditional interior.

Is this a dig at labradoodles? Because they are great dogs and if I was rich I would totally have one

I’m going to invent outside the car cannister speakers rigged up to a Raspberry Pi to emulate exhausts on electric cars. Kind of a card in the bicycle spokes if you will. Custom sounds ranging from backfiring fart cans to burbling V8s to screaming V12s.

Yes that is the challenge with regulations. Everyone complies to the most convenient legally valid interpretation rather than the spirit of what is written

Please give us a poll to vote on writer submissions. Also include a write in option for everyone that needs to reiterate how charge time is important to them on their cross country road trips (we know).

That’s a good correction. Normal force on the road is just the weight of the vehicle, the pressure on the road is the pressure in the tires more or less.

I was thinking upmarket from VW but also totally generalizing on my limited sample size

It will exert less pressure but still the same total force

That may have been the case but the German brands are trying their hardest to get away from any sort of elegance they used to have. They are still popular because name recognition. I also have to give them credit for being better at attention to smaller details in terms of gaps and things not rattling, or window tint

This is the worst Lada. It’s predecessors were in some odd unorthodox way at least good looking. At least the aftermarket guys made them look good in a counter culture kind of way. 2107 and prior models were also RWD so they have that bit of fun factor. The 2110 is crappy like the rest of them but is also ugly and non

Yea that will definitely lead to some unpleasant interactions

I guess I only ever see the first three types of Subaru owners where I’m at.

It’s bad and they should feel bad.

Speaking of Subaru, yesterday I saw an outback with a don’t tread on me sticker on the rear window. Maybe it’s just a hipster taking irony to the next level

Please give us a poll to vote on writers’ submissions. Or at least make a fake pie chart that just says Volvo

Even though the Aurora municipal center is literally at the intersection of I-225 and Alameda and the police car lot is right next to I-225 and Colfax. Literally the two streets sited in one of the linked articles

I guess I should have been more clear, point was be skeptical and thorough when presented with red flags for a vehicle whose history you don’t know.

Buying a salvage from someone else is not unlike buying a car with a CEL. Could just need some new sparkplugs, could be something way worse.

Lancia. No other reason than I want Lancia to come back and EV is probably the only way

I never understood the WRX ditching the hatch. STI not coming in a hatch, ok fine never meant to be a practical car. I had a 2012 so the last body style that had a wagon and the old 2.5 engine. Absolutely loved that car. Just like you have not gone back to Subaru unless you count a salvaged Baja turbo that lives as a
