That picture is just plain beautiful!

I and my triple locked ‘93 Land Cruiser approve of this message.

Oh! I hadn’t even thought of Prop 13. You’re quite right, the street will now be taxed at the new value since it stopped being grandfather the minute it was sold. Even if the HOA buys it back the tax bill will still be higher.

You win

Actually now traffic will back up from the bridge most of the way, and sometimes all of the way, into Rainier depending of the time of day. It’s getting pretty rediculous, but St Johns is far worse.

I drove my 1980 Triumph Spitfire down the coast highway in California for 8 hours with the top down in conditions ranging from fog to mostly cloudy. I have a shaved head and I had no hat. You can probably figure out how that went.

I read an article clarifying that. Seems they will not ticket you for sipping a drink or eating some fries. They are more after the people who are eating a bowl of cereal or a plated meal, things that cause both hands to be off the wheel. I’m still keeping my eyes open when I reach for my coffee though!

Having caught a potato bug in helmet at 80-85, I’m going to say not much. That little thing nearly sent me off the back of the bike.

Closer the the Lewis and Clark bridge myself, but I know the traffic of which you speak. I’m not making much money where I’m at now, but work is about three blocks from home and you can’t beat that.

You win.

Oh god.... the 82nd Ave car strip. I went looking at a 740 il there once. The cars dash readout was scrolling in German so I asked them if they knew how to set the readout to English. Nope. Could they maybe call a BMW dealer and ask them? Nope. Two weeks later I saw the same car on a flatbed after a major engine fire.

Tire pressure.

You don’t? I heard that all the time from the sailers stationed in my home town.

Toyota Land Cruiser

Had a 1974. Loved that bike. I did, however, make the mistake of riding it from just North of Los Angeles to San Diego with tires that were better suited for offroad riding. By the time I got there most of my body had gone numb from the vibrations, plus with the top speed of about 60-65 I became the most hated person

I miss my ‘80 Spitfire every day. It was a fantastic car to cruise down the coast from Oregon to SoCal. Every corner felt like you were flying, even though I could never manage to pull away from my then wife’s Dodge Neon. Surprisingly, I’ve never found a more comfortable car for all day highway cruising. The only

“A plexiglass cover so rain would fall into the engine” Would or would not?

I get the aesthetics of the 60. The 80 is simply a better truck. People have grafted the 60 body onto an 80 for the best of both worlds. That one would be nice to have!

I’m close to 240k and I’m pretty sure mine is on the original head gasket.
