But who will play Julia Roberts’ part? My vote is for Steve Buscemi.

Bleeding out of our wherevers and just generally being bitches, right?
“Perhaps you could rename [the] podcast, stuff you missed in history class mostly about women”
And everything was either in black and white or shades of sepia!
Yeah, that seemed to be unanimous with everyone I’ve talked to who has seen the film. Everything except for that “subplot” with that movie was brilliant. One more pass on the script in the editing room to address that, and I wouldn’t have a bad thing to say about the film.
THANK YOU. I flew into a rage at the end of the movie after seeing that scene. It was disgusting.
OMG YES! A movie all about Moneypenny! I’ve long wanted to know her backstory, and to see her get out from behind that desk (in earlier Bond films). Naomie is fabulous, Moneypenny is a cool character with amazing potential... let’s do this!
Yeah, it’s a lot of fun up until the very end, with the dumb anal sex joke. That totally ruined it for me!
I have exactly zero interest in Bond films, but if they got Elba as Bond and Hiddles as the villain my ass would be in a theater to see it the day it opened.
People in UK were really scathing about it - see film review show Wittertainment. People HATED it. It was just a very strange thing to add onto a film.
Agreed! That part really destroyed the movie for me. That character existed only to serve as a reward for the dude. I’m pretty sick of that shit.
You and me together. It kinda put a sour note on the movie. What terrible piece of writing.
Apart from the anal sex stupid remark at the end.
I was shaking my head at the silliness and contrivances but willing to suspend my disbelief in the spirit of spy movie dumbness (which I adore).
He didn’t, however, make a bet about fucking some girl in the movie.
I can never watch that movie again because of the ending. I thought it was pretty good but now it just fills me with RAGE. Fuck that movie.
It’s fun, but I found it overpraised. (The film went totally off the rails for the last 20 minutes or so, and the ending... You just literally murdered every leader in the free world - including Obama - and you’re not even going to address that and instead focus on anal sex?)
It’s TERRIBLE. And that shit with the girl and the anal sex at the end? That was FUCKED UP.
I started watching The Night Manager for Tom Hollander, who I love in pretty much everything he’s done, but I stayed for Olivia Coleman. I can’t tell you how much I loved seeing a woman in her 40s, not conventionally attractive and heavily pregnant kick ass and take names in a spy thriller. Can she be the next Bond?
Okay, so I watched The Night Manager and it was beautiful and well-done, I agree. But was anyone else let down by the ending? (I didn’t read the book.) I felt like the tension just kept increasing through the whole thing, and was awesome, but at the end it just fizzled away. It was a boring ending.
