I’ve found that it’s pretty easy to start with something like Lawry’s or Goya then add other things to that. If you’ve got a base with salt, garlic, and maybe paprika, you can grind and add other things to it. Even if it’s just black pepper or rosemary or thyme, it’s so much better freshly ground than in a powdered or

Depends on where you live. Where I am, it’s pretty common (2-3 varieties in every store). Where my parents are, you won’t find it. If you’re in a place like that, I’d probably look on Amazon.

I thought Lawry’s and Tony Chachere’s were basic kitchen staples that everyone used until I moved across the country and lived among those who inspired the “white people dont season their food” memes. Goya Adobo is pretty versatile and pretty basic. It can be added to almost anything. If you can find it, the furikake

I liked Dunk and Egg, but I don’t think it would make for good tv. I’d also prefer to see something new that hasn’t been as fleshed out.

As someone who lives in a flash flood prone area that also has a lot of tourist traffic, here’s my advice: I know a lot of people don’t have the common sense to look up at the mountain to see if it’s cloudy/raining at a higher elevation. So, when your phone buzzes with a warning or you hear a warning come over the

Is that the Russian guy from the Kansas City episode where he went off on his own to a hair museum? That one was so cringeworthy.

I mean, I’m redneck as fuck, spent most of my life in the Bible belt, don’t wear skinny jeans, and I’m a fan. He was on other networks before CNN. I’d be willing to wager a lot of people watch his show and nothing else on CNN.

Just adding to what you said. Aside from his shows and books, he also had a pretty big impact on the food and travel writing genera. I’ve seen some other great work that he inspired, edited, and/or published. By all accounts he was great to work with and was very helpful to a lot of folks trying to get into it.

It was often upbeat, but there were some legitimately great episodes that were pretty dark. He tried to show the best, but he always showed the truth. Watch the Budapest or Kansas City episodes for example.

Sicily was another good example of him being annoyed with the inauthentic BS.

Commenting on celebrities and their deaths is something I usually avoid. I don’t know these people, and me posting online about condolences isn’t gonna be read by their family and friends. Anthony Bourdain’s passing feels different though. From a quick look at anything today, you can see how his tv shows and writing

Good call. I had completely forgotten about this one. Animation style makes me think it came around the same time or possibly from the same studio as Pro Stars which would have been my suggestion.

Didn’t they make a rock em sock em robots movie? I’m pretty sure it starred wolverine.

I’m way too lazy to look any of it up right now, but I am curious if there is any correlation between signs and certain conditions. No causation, just interesting correlation that can be explained by science. I feel like I’ve read before that people born in the spring/summer are more prone to some issues because flu

This article is such a Sagittarius thing to write.

It’s wild to think of just how staggeringly stupid some of our elected officials are.

The sheer volume of material coming out of the fissures is pretty incredible. The fact that it filled in Kapoho Bay is ridiculous.

I initially had this problem (also with GoT), but at some point you have to let it go and enjoy the ride.
