On the list of things that are not sunscreen, you can add being well hydrated. According to your colleagues over at Deadspin, Supermodel Gisele Bündchen’s football player husband was trying to sell a method of drinking enough water to prevent sunburns and concussions.

We saw his origins in the prequels, and we saw him die in the originals. What else is needed? I just think something new would be more interesting.

Making labels uniform makes more sense than having different ones for states with different laws. That’s why you can buy items in Nebraska that say “contains chemicals known to the state of California so to cause cancer” or whatever. It’s still just fear-mongering.

This labeling seems pointless and expensive. Advocating against GMOs is no different than supporting antivaxxers or climate change deniers. All of these are emotion and agenda driven rather than being based on science.

Oahu is fine. Anything you might want to do, you can do there. It’s just a bit crowded in Honolulu/Waikiki. Everything is there and convenient though. Aside from shopping and nightlife though, the other islands have the same things just better. Maui has better beaches, Kauai has better hiking, and Big Island has

Hana itself is pretty magical once you get there (if the weather cooperates and you know where to go), but the drive sucks. Doing it as a day trip is a waste of a day. If you really push it, you can stop at the black sand beach, do one hike, and get back to wherever in a day. It’s better to drive in and stay a couple

Saw this elsewhere and thought about posting it. Glad to see that you did.

Power level is a Dragonball Z reference in response to the Super Saiyan comment.

This bad joke was never meant to have any accuracy. I really haven’t seen much beyond the old DBZ and only vaguely recall that the 9000 thing is a meme.

Even if Kilauea’s power level gets over 9000, there’s very little chance that it will effect Maui. If the wind stops or blows the wrong direction, the air quality might get a little icky from the vog (sulfur dioxide mostly), but that’s likely the worst of it.

When you said New York, I thought you were going to go with the time a cop broke Thabo Sefalosha’s leg.

Of course it’s the shortest guy in the group, surrounded by all his buddies, who makes the first move.

I mean, I know I’m being that person on a post that is talking about flights to Europe, but it’s also talking about the cheapest available flights. Hawaii to Europe is a ridiculously long and expensive trip to even consider. Really anywhere on the west coast, you’re probably better off going to Asia.

Pretty fair criticism. Sounds like he’s just protecting his check at this point. Judge that how you will. I don’t really listen to or read his stuff. The whole concept is getting a little stale at this point. When he goes on a radio show like The Right Time with Bomani Jones though, the reactions of people not in on

Is this a recent development? I’ve never seen kayak be cheaper than google when I’ve searched in the past. Usually I can find it a little cheaper going straight to the airline, but I’ve never seen it be that much of a difference.

If you’re in Hawaii and want to take an international vacation for cheap, save your time and money and head to Asia. It’s like 8 hours and $400 to get to Osaka vs $1000 and 2+ days to get to Europe.

How did I forget the best excuse out there? “Babysitter canceled”

An easy out for almost any plans, have a baby. People are usually understanding if you blame the kid. Yeah, we can’t make it this afternoon, the baby’s sick. Little sally didn’t have a nap, and you know how she gets. We want to come, but the baby needs to be in bed by 7:00. Can’t really drive right now, Jr just had
