We were also supposed to learn in kindergarten not to take what doesn’t belong to you. Lots of memos have been missed, it appears.

Dude was inside the car though. No way in hell you’re getting to a safe distance if they’ve got a gun.
And the victim knew that they were just going to take the cats and leave?
Make no mistake, the guy involved here is a psychopath - you’ll hear no arguments from me on that one. Binding someone and leaving them for dead is pretty noticeably the point where this went from “defense” to “excuse to kill someone”.
1) castle doctrine in various states allows you to use deadly force to protect your castle
None of this has anything to do with Capitalism.
It’s almost as if, at least based on what has thus been reported, that one of them was minding their own fucking business and the other decided to interfere with said person’s karma.
I’m sorry that you recently learned the words “bad faith argument” and this is apparently your first time getting to use them but you are using them incorrectly.
The converter thefts have become a real problem here. At a neighborhood meeting, we asked the local community resource cop “why aren’t the buyers being cracked down on?” and he literally shrugged, like it was the dumbest idea he’d ever heard.
That might have something to do with the fact the thief was the one responsible for the confrontation in the first place. The other guy didn’t go looking for him, he showed up and started stealing the guy’s stuff.
Dragging didn’t kill the person. He died from the gunshots, though he suffered some abrasions from being dragged. The victim’s photo is from the department of corrections. Pretty sure he wasn’t even supposed to be under the truck stealing the catalytic convertor.
This is great news!! One less thief in this world and one less person with a gun that shouldn’t have one on the streets. Win Win
It’s ok, you just lack the ability to empathize with people who’s life experiences differ from your own. That’s pretty normal, you can tell by looking around you.
You also might just be simply, unable to follow the process of “vehicle = shelter & shelter = safety. Non operable vehicle = towed = no vehicle = no shelter…
Sure, but “ideally” is doing a lot of work here, especially when addiction might play a role. And making “capitalism” the culprit of everything here really uses the word so broadly as to be functionally meaningless.
What if your personal property allows you to live? Or you have good reason to believe it does? Someone very close to me once shared that they had reached a decision to self terminate before living fully on the streets again because they had previously been traumatized violently.
The problem I’m having with your theory is, if I’m sleeping in my car and wake up to the sound of someone sawzalling it, I’m going to shoot first and ask questions later. I don’t know what their intentions are, only that they are hostile.
Cool, chief.
Washington doesn’t have any private prisons.
If you have a weapon, use it to detain them.
As it stands I look at it like a wild animal attack. It’s not “cool” when some dumbfuck tries to get a selfie with a brown bear and becomes brown poop but maybe as a species we’re still better off if such an event is a possibility.
