Joe Thomas crawled to retirement through 10,000 snaps of shit-smelling foulness I can’t even imagine- or maybe I just don’t want to. 10,000 snaps...that’s 11 seasons. Just north of a decade. Joe Thomas, who crawled through a river of shit and found himself still in a river of shit on the other side.
Sadly he probably already forgot all about it.
“I wanted to live anywhere but Oklahoma City” would also have been an acceptable answer to 97% of people.
Also, I think Green Monster is great. I know it’s a little gimmicky, but it is a really cool wrinkle in the game.
The small size of Fenway really makes it a much nicer place to watch a game than other stadiums.
Durant: “I am a professional basketball player and I would like to play basketball with the best possible set of teammates I can find for the remainder of my career, even if it means 25% less money.”
As far as I know, these guys play for money and titles. That’s it. So I really don’t get the “you should stay somewhere where you fully fulfilled your agreed-upon contractual obligations, even if you hate it there, because the fans of that team want to pretend that they have the shot you know that they don’t have”…
Exactly. Durant could have been paid about $33 mil per year from the OKC to be stuck in 3rd or 4th seed purgatory or $25 mil to win a title with the Warriors. It seems like a pretty easy decision that any rational human would make.
Isn’t “getting a championship” the only legitimate reason you need?
Saw the first quarter, but now sitting in a theater, waiting for the movie to start. Giving up on the Bears is really, really, really really freeing.

I feel sorry for the guy who is holding the cup (not pictured).
The Steelers are enjoying themselves early against Minnesota, jumping out to an initial 14-0 lead against the Sam…
I am going to be that guy- This has nothing to do with the First Amendment. She is free to say Trump is a racist. And ESPN, a private company, is free to fire her/punish her/do nothing to her if it feels like it.
Mike Polk is a hero and I won’t hear anyone, not even a fellow Clevelander, say otherwise.
Technically it was thirteen times...
Just a reminder: The Cleveland Indians blew a 3-1 lead to the Chicago Cubs in the World Series last year.
Never forget
I think I saw this film. Spoiler alert, in the end: dude calls his shot, surprises everyone with a two-out bunt, and magically beats out the throw to first.
