This just reeks of “real women have curves”. I agree that it’s horrifying that there are women out there who think they need to lob off parts of their bodies in order to fit whatever standard ideal our culture is pushing but at the same time I don’t think saying shit like that is particularly helpful either.

Mine too. I guess it's a privilege I didn't really realize I had until reading all these articles about women cutting themselves in order to get this look. Yeah the whooping cough outbreak freaks me out. I had a reaction to the vaccine as a baby so I didnt get the full work up and therefore am suspectible to it. I had to be kept out of school a couple times when we had outbreaks. Now I'm pregnant and kind of terrified to hear people are still be dumbasses about this.…
