Yet California thought the only thing keeping Hydrogen cars from being the next big thing was infrastructure, so they built a bunch of stations (I need to check but I don’t think they even got to their proposed number).  Those costs per mile numbers are hilariously sad.  lol

Uncut huh? Won’t they feel weird when they see a circumcised bill in a locker room wallet?

Don’t worry about the apostrophe catastrophe, you’re commenting on an article where the staff couldn’t be assed to proofread a 6 word headline.

It uses a quart of oil every 500 miles? What the actual everliving fuck! I am currently averaging 20k mi/yr, so I need 40 quarts (10 gallons!) of oil to get through a year? At that rate though I guess you don’t need oil changes, just swap the oil filter every once in a while and continue to dump in a quart a week.

There is no 'fast' lane.

Nah, under 18 is ‘my dad bought me...’ territory. First car, graduation present, etc. 19 is ‘got my first real job making over 30k/yr but don’t yet understand how expensive life is, so sure I’ll buy a new $30k+ car’

Bronco II was discontinued, so they'll reintroduce this as New Bronco instead.

On the PBS documentary Chasing the Moon, one of the Apollo 8 crew (Lovell maybe? I can’t remember) said that he tried it out and resolved that he would go the whole flight without using it. He apparently succeeded.

Sorry the National Guard thing was meant to be something like, do you send a thousand guys with M-16s or do you actually send in armor/planes/etc. It was about the optics of use of force against a mass non-violent mob.

In all seriousness, let’s say 1M+ people actually do show up and for the sake of this thought exercise, let’s say they show up unarmed with only their sheer numbers as their ‘weapon’.

Just as a point of information, the F-1 is the name of the singular rocket engine. There are 5 of them comprising the Saturn V first stage. The second stage is five J-2 engines and the third stage is a single J-2 engine.

I always tend to view it through the lens of the incredible pace. If we consider Goddard’s test as the first flight of a liquid propellant rocket, that was 1926. It went 41 feet into the air in 2.5 seconds. Just over 40 years later we would send one a quarter million miles into space. Even more conventional prop/jet he

“Not that I endorse breaking the speed limit”

I assume you’re talking about the ZL-1s and not the LS1?

Nice wax job, rook.

Sorry, must be the 2500 then, see my ‘not a truck guy’ disclaimer above as way of explanation!

Bigtough’ outside, cushy well appointed interior. I don’t begrudge anyone for buying whatever they want, but in my experience (not really a truck guy in any sense of the word) the people that I would rather talk to about their truck are not the guys with a brand new King Ranch but the farmer with 300k+ miles on his
