Or perhaps employers who only want to pay 30k or only hire underpaid and easily laid off contract workers to avoid paying benefits should stop requiring potentional employees to have a BA/MA.

I was naive to think someone didn’t say this first. Pimento cheese is almost enough to make me consider moving back to the south. Fried Bologna pimento cheese sandwich. Pimento cheese sandwiches dipped in a bowl of chili. Ugh.

So pimento cheese without the pimento?

The gay conversion camp is what I remember the least from the book, it seemed like such a small part. The majority was one of the best stories about a girl coming-of-age, sexuality, and identity that I’ve ever read. I’ve read a lot of YA lit because I was a YA librarian and this is one of my favourite books, it spoke

Because the storm is blocking Okinawa (part of Japan) from your view.

Muppets Tonight! This was the first time I remember hearing Talking Heads as a kid, though my parents were huge fans.

How are people forgetting the secret love affair between the idol and the chef!? The calm, polite conversation when the castmates confronted them to say they felt decieved was riveting!

Two years ago I got a full crotch check and my baggage swabbed for explosives because of a bourbon fruit cake.

My state has closed all but one clinic, which is only open because of a court order. Some rural folks in my state may have to travel five hours to get to the clinic where they will have to walk through a sea of protestors. They also can’t just schedule the appointment and walk in, they have to have a an appointment

There’s barely room for stools in this bar, definitely no room for cabinets.

I’m from near Tennessee and summer in Japan is miserable. The Sun is absurdly hot and there is rarely adequate AC anywhere.

This is the card I went with because I realized I don’t make enough/spend enough money to make the other cards worth it. I’m moving from Japan to the US and then across the US this year so I’ve been able to bank up enough points to fly home for Christmas. Otherwise, I’d just be slowly accruing points from buying

I like your insight but did Luke pass this info on to Rey who stashed the books Luke tried to burn in the Falcon? I guess his force ghost can pass on the training in the next film.

Rebels honestly surprised me by how good the character development and world building was. Far better than I expected or it even needed to be.

Yeah, I understand Luke’s position but one thing I loved about Rogue One was seeing how non force users follow the Jedi religion which really opened up the idea that this belief goes beyond Luke. Maz seems to get it,  I don’t think the Jedi really understood the meaning of their religion to those without their

Yes, Vader got film redemption and sacrificed himself for Luke, bus was never truly held to account for his actions. We’ve seen Kylo make the decisions that push him over the edge and as with Vader there can be no actual, real redemption. I’d love to see him truly face the horror of what he’s done and be held accountab

Kylo is trying to be the person Luke saw in him when he nearly killed the kid. Instead of emotional support his parent foisted him off on his uncle who ten tries to kill him. I can see that pushing a kid over the edge, especially with Snoke whispering in his ear. He’s trying to kill what’s left of his empathy.

The throne room scene was on of the few moments in the new Star Wars where I legitimately didn’t know where things were going and the emotional stakes were real. It was a high point of the film, even if I disagree with the decision in the end.

I am a little glad Rey saved the books only because I thought it was messed up that Luke felt such ownership over the Jedi and the force that he burned the library those aliens on the island spent generations protecting and preserving. I thought this was an SJW film but white boy Luke is still colonizing the Jedi

I didn’t know I wanted a reboot of Cheers set in Mos Eisley, but now I do.
