I can only think of Madame Bovary’s long, disgusting death from pills. It took all of the romance out of suicide.

Maybe your lifespan is lower, but the guys with money are doing alright.

I was given oxycodone when I had my tonsils removed and it made me feel like there was a pile of bricks on my chest. I went to bed the first couple of nights assuming I was going to die in my sleep—it also made me a little loopy. I started taking liquid children’s Tylenol and that handled the pain, no problem. I have

For the folks I know who have chronic pain or illness, physical therapy is just soooo much money, and they’re already in too much debt for the medical bills they received trying to figure out what was wrong with them in the first place.

I moved out of the country last year, thinking it would only be for 2 years, but now considering a longer stay. When I left I thought Hillary would win and that by the time my husband and I came back there might be something resembling maternity leave when we came home. Now I’m thinking I might never have children.

GREAT FOR YOU! SERIOUSLY!

I worked with kids in the town discussed in this article and the kids that live in the segregated and poor part of town want to be bussed to better schools. I’m telling you, I sat with a middle school kid sobbing because he didn’t have a dime to print out his homework for school and thought it would ruin his chances

Shutting down the NPS was literally in the GOP convention platform.

And in real drive time I lived maybe 15 minutes from my school. There were kids on my bus that got home in 5 minutes, I was just lucky enough to be the last one off. The majority of kids in the town discussed in this article only have a 28 minute bus ride on average.

It is infuriating and what’s worse when constituents questioned the bill’s sponser on the ramifications of the bill he said, “I don’t understand how the school system works”. Atherton is a special school. Incredibly diverse. I hope they’ll be able to hold onto their programs.

You think Bevin gives a shit what the financial consequences of his actions will have for the state? He doesn’t.

I think you found the secret motive. Can’t have the largest district, which already has school choice, competing with your “school choice” legislation.

Louisville is one of the most segregated cities in the country. So this bill will absolutely resegregate schools. You make a fair point, but the demographics of Louisville don’t compare to the rest of the state.

It’s a noble thought, but it’s not going to help those kids who live in poverty and go to schools in high-poverty neighborhoods. School resources are important, but they need a lot more help outside of school too.

Maybe you’re too young to remember Brown vs the Board of Education?

I grew up in the country and spent 2 hours on the bus every day. It takes time to bus hundreds of kids home, doesn’t matter how close you live to your school. Integrated schools are worth the inconvenience.

I grimace anytime I tell people I’m from Kentucky. When I travelled outside the state as a teen people legit asked me if we wear shoes. People are amazed that I have the ability to string a sentence together. When I called to cancel my New York Times subscription the guy on the line asked if we “tipped cows” in

It doesn’t help that Democrats have tried to move further right to keep up with the growing conservativism in this state. They wouldn’t stand up for KYNECT because they didn’t want to get tied to Obama. They won’t talk about how coal is destroying Eastern Kentucky and our natural resources. They won’t bring new

racists contains multitudes.

Camp Taylor has some cheap homes close to the zoo and with easy access to downtown/highlands/watterson/65. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but in a few years I think it’s going to be the bees knees. The downside is airport noise, but look closer to Audobon park and poplar level rd and it won’t be an issues.
