That’s you being paranoid. Autonomous cars != Electric cars. Teslas can be driven 100% manually. Where as Googles autonomous cars often use petrol powered cars as the base.

I doubt most companies would release a 2039 model in the UK if the ban stays. 2040 is probably expected to be after basically everyone has converted to a different fuel source anyway or would be if they’re buying a new car.

Whereas houses there cost many times that of basically any car.

Kensington and the city of London are almost exclusively full of upper class people though. It isn’t really representative of the UK, The South East of England or even Greater London.

Or France, the countries that were desperate for peace didn’t end up getting it, they just paid through the nose beforehand.

I would’ve thought they could be quite fun with a decent motor in there. Electric cars tend to have good acceleration and Caterham, Morgan etc could probably still buy engines off the big manufacturers.

That seems unlikely. Manufacturers have spent lots of money on R&D for Hydrogen and/or Electric cars. It seems unlikely they’d choose to go back to ICE cars unless they could use oil based fuels again.

That’s why it’s good. It’s the closest Top gear ever got to actually swearing. It also never failed to crack up the presenters when they were reviewing a car with one.

I don’t know about enforcement but in the UK the highway code states in rule 29 that (emphasis www.gov.uk) “you MUST ensure you do not hit anyone when you open your door. Check for cyclists or other traffic”.

They don’t but do have a neck, instead of doing this you can just look where you’re opening the bloody door. The people that aren’t doing this already probably aren’t going to inconvenience themselves by opening the door in a way that isn’t ingrained into them through muscle memory.

I think most of Jalopnik would happily call a hatchback a car. They’ve got a lot of room for their size. I know Americans don’t get as many as Europe does but you still have quite a lot.

Car you most want America to get?

Center or Centre?

I may well be wrong about this and I wouldn’t ever want to try it but I thought technically in the USA the police can’t use your tax returns as evidence but if they find out you didn’t report something they can also put a tax avoidance charge on you.

What are your favourite and least favourite styles of cars (Hatchback, CUV, Sedan etc)?

You say that, but we’ve not really had any main home brands for the last decade. Admittedly PSA aren’t great on reliability but they aren’t huge this side of the pond.

Yeah VW of Europe as far as I know make most VW branded cars in Germany with, at least some, work on other VAG marques going to their respective countries.

Ah Okay, but still they’ll be some testing before they come out and 5 years might end up being a lot for electric cars.

Maybe it is a hangover from when BL still made cars but Cars in the UK now are all eventually controlled/designed by another country.
