If you’re not advocating for regime change, then what are you arguing for, then? Why exactly shouldn’t Russia (and all those truly against ISIL) support Assad - the sole internationally recognized leader of Syria - in his efforts to exterminate ISIL?

Where is the rationale to support these “rebels” who are against

Sure, it’s powerful looking. Until you have to pee really badly and can’t get it off fast enough.

If you guys actually stand by this analysis, you would stop covering Trump and not print another word about him unless he actually does something newsworthy, like commit a crime or is a victim of a crime.

I love this fantasy, as if all you “regime changing morons” advocating for Syrian regime change actually have somebody lined up to replace Assad.

That regime change strategy really worked out well for stability and security in Iraq, Afghanistan, Lybia, Iran, Ukraine,....

I highly doubt that you would uphold that right for say, Pakistan, if it had shot down the unauthorized helicopters who entered Pakistan to shoot down bin Laden.

Yeah, nothing teaches Texas teachers and administrators not to abuse children like depriving the public school budget by $15 million.

I mean, it’s not like Texas children might need that money for books that don’t teach creationism.

If his problem is the way in which he was treated by police, then he should be suing the police. Instead, he chose to sue the public school.

The “suffering” he experienced is getting a full scholarship at a prestigious school in Dubai or whatever.

In other words, leaving Texas is the best thing that happened to him. And I fail to see how taking away $15 million or even $15 from the school board budget - that those kids stuck in Texas public school system

Yeah, thanks captain obvious. My situation was “handled” through human resources. Human resources is never about protecting the rights of the employees; it’s always about protecting the comapany and minimizing their cost.

I wasn’t technically fired. I was just asked to leave because I could no longer perform the duties of my job. They said I could theoretically come back once I was better, but that they weren’t keeping my position open (or any position for which I was qualified).

Technically speaking, if they had actually fired or laid

As a former member of a union working an equally shitty job, I know damn well that the union agreement has zero power to help save this man’s job. It did fuck all from helping me save mine when I was diagnosed with cancer and couldn’t continue working.

Considering that Walmart already treats its employees like shit and locks them in the stores, the “accidental” damage of merchandise is probably already happening, even with the “no taking garbage” policy.

In public, it’s is gross to ask for a present. However when you look at their whole relationship, it’s kinda obvious that she puts up with his shit because he pays her in jewlery. Any woman with a half decent amount of self respect would have dumped his ass when he started telling her how to dress and publishing songs

It’s entirely possible that she has cancer and doesn’t want to reveal it. Wearing a wig all day - even a high quality one professionally fitted - is a pain in the ass.

No, they chose a buffet because these are grad students and wanted to eat the left-over food themselves. It’s the only rational explanation for such a dumb study.

Not really. Unions provide you no protection when you have violated company policy. And unions have no say in drafting company policy.

Erm, how does that make sense? If employees dig through trash to recycle, that’s not only good for the employees that’s also good for the store itself because the city garbage people can (and do) fine businesses if they find their garbage/recycling stuff is not sorted properly.

I get that, but that’s kinda where smart people (as STEM profs are) realize that just because you can’t afford a house like your department head has doesn’t mean that you’re poor.

And more importantly, if you’re a person just starting out - especially on a tenure-track position - your department head will be impressed

“I was pregnant and all I got was this shitty baby”

This is more like it because babies are true shit factories. Seriously, I dunno how something that small can eat so little, shit so much and still manage to grow.

As a lower-middle class person, it’s not that I “expect” wealthy people to go around blabbing about how wealthy they are. But when it comes to casual discussions on money/how much things cost, it kinda makes my blood boil to have top tier university STEM professors complain that they’re “average” when these are people
