There were a lot of advancements made, but anything that conflicted with the message the Nazi party brought was shut down, including any science they didn’t agree with. Plus there’s the whole “those advancements came at a terrible cost” thing, too.

I suppose, I just think that the unique way in which all of this has happened so far in this administration lends more to the comparison than Reagan, HW, and Dubya would have. The wild nationalism, the damn near crying lugenpresse, the continual rallies, etc.

Well the comparison is to the silencing and defunding of scientists, not specifically to climate change denial. I was more referencing widespread gag orders on science-based programs and less this specific instance.

Well I mean this admin is just taking cues from Hitler... undermine journalists, undermine scientists, cut funding/protections for both... it’s all very familiar.

The sad thing is, you really have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find a scientist who will denounce climate change in the first place. Then on top of that, 85% of those climate denying scientists are not climate scientists at all.

Yeah, that’s pretty much where I was with it. It was just a coincidence that’s I gave up after the start of the season.

I agree except I think Abraham should have been first to die because all the comic fans would have been irritated and then get the awesome true to comic scene to make up for it.

They should have ended s6 with Abrahams death and started s7 with Glenn’s instead of cramming them into one episode.

I keep saying the cannibal slaughterhouse and Noah were way worse than Glenn and Abraham but obviously the difference is that people loved Glenn and didn’t care about the slaughtered extras or Noah, so when kind of par-for-the-course violence is inflicted on a beloved character it suddenly becomes gratuitous.

I didn’t like how they piled Glenn and Abraham into one episode for impact reasons but really I just stopped watching because ep 2 just BORED ME TO TEARS. I have never been so uninterested in my life.
