if a customer wants you to grill a steak until it gets tender, you grill it until it gets tender

I don't TRY to do it, but if I have to poop at a guys house (or if he's at mine) I poop. I figure if he can't handle me pooping/knowing that I poop etc he probably doesn't deserve to see me naked.

At least England's politicians can say they smartened up since 1990.

doesn't give GB a whole lot of leeway to condemn Russia now does it? Kettle, pot, black

No woman has ever thought a man was "too tall for her".

Really similar kind of thing for me and my wife. I had a bi-lateral lung transplant (almost 5 years ago!) and when I was getting listed we got a burner phone to give that number only to my transplant nurse coordinator so that we wouldn't jump every time our individual phones rang. (I ended up only being on the list

Exactly! i wish everyone would stop being so butthurt about it and understand the context of Shannon Perry's work and having a sense of humor. Frankly some of the other tattoo cover up suggestions in the thread are way more offensive than the "I'm Sorry".

Unless you're getting a cut of the eventual profits, it's not really investing. I think of it more like donating, if the Kickstarter is something for a good cause, or just giving a helping hand, if it's a Kickstarter for a creative product (book, movie, game, whatever) that I would like to buy someday.

I'm a legal secretary and watching law shows makes me want to scream so I don't. What they don't show is the support staff scrambling to get in touch with the clerk, juggling 10 other cases at once and managing to some how find out what the partners want to take to trial. There is just no way to make actual legal work exciting enough for popular fiction. A partner at my former firm wrote a novel and even that was wildly embellished and he made up all kinds of departments and technologies that don't exist.

Except that Witherspoon lacks the restrained elegance of Rosemund Pike, which I think was quite crucial for large parts of the film.

Rosamund Pike was phenomenal! Her portrayal of Amy was spot on for how I pictured her when reading the book.

I'm gonna feel reaaaalllllly stupid if this spreads right after I spent a good 1/2 hour convincing my paranoid cousin that our westernized medicine, hygiene habits and social infrastructure would not support an ebola outbreak here in the US.

Me on Friday Sept 5 at 12:35 AM: "I wonder what Nicholas Sparks is like to have sex with"

Fincher on this novel? Jesus, I can't wait. That ending is going to fuck people who haven't read the novel up .

That's EXACTLY how I feel. I felt very violent when I finished the book (HATED the ending), but as time has gone on I think it was the most perfect ending for these characters. I am very excite about the fillum mainly because of Rosamund Pike.

I don't get excited about movies, especially movies from books.

That being said, AAAAAAAAAAH!!!! This one is marked on my calendar.

I hate myself, but I'm so excited!
