You and me both. Payback is a great, fun moive.
Maybe today but back in its heyday it looked as good as big budget movies could.
Oh man, she was the perfect 40s girl in that movie.
"It's the smell".
I also enjoy Reeves as an actor. Say what you want about the guy's acting but he has a shitload of more memorable movie performance than many other "serious" actors out there.
Oh, it certainly was. Halle Berry, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Famke Janssen, Rebbeca Romjin-Stamos… hell, even Anna Paquin was sort of an A-lister.
This is the universe being kind to us after it got Trump elected.
Honestly, if it wins 2000 it is only because it set the template for "modern" superhero movies - great production values, all-star casts et al. And it gave us Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
It also gave Spike Jonze a small part.
That scene is just fantastic.
Dude, you're a special person. Just like everyone else.
I tried. I really tried to like Ghost Dog after countless recommendations. By the third Bushido overlay written in Japanese my interest was gone.
This. No one really knew much about The Matrix going in - its advertising was surprisingly toned down.
PS: Ghost Dog is utter shit. Whitaker flaunting guns like they were swords was kinda cool though.
The 1999 choice was obvious. It is hard to explain how awesome was to experience the first Matrix movie on the theater - most people went in with little to no idea what the plot was about. It made you want to kung-fu while jumping off walls by the time it was over.
But has he lost bigly?
Watching him trying to argue with Jon Stewart was poetic in its beauty.
God, that retarded bowtie. What an asshole.
I kinda assumed that happened on a weekly basis.
