I enjoyed this article for touching the topic of the rift between the worldviews of Black people in Africa and Black people in the United States diaspora. I’ve always found it an interesting topic. Of course, I understand the article couldn’t get really deep on the issue, due to space constraints. But the viewpoints…

Just an interesting thought on representation. I’m from South Africa, which, unsurprisingly, has a Black majority. You’d think the women’s magazines here would follow suit, right?
We did a lot of consent games when my son was little. We had “tickle/no-tickle!” Which is where I would ask “Tickle?” and he would say “yes! tickle!” or he would say “no tickle.” And then we’d take turns (he would ask me).
