This makes me mad. This actually makes me beyond mad. As a South African, someone asked me on Friday, “what do we do over the next 4 years? be an ostrich? what?” Because actually there is not much we can do to effect regime change in the States.

having said that, the economics of finding willing (and qualified) child minders in my country are a lot different (I imagine) than they would be in the States.

Move to South Africa. Seriously. We have a plethora of restaurants of the not-Chucky Cheese variety that offer on-site babysitting and child play areas. Just an interesting thought on representation. I’m from South Africa, which, unsurprisingly, has a Black majority. You’d think the women’s magazines here would follow suit, right?
