I was playing Smash Brothers on Wii U with my nephews a few years ago and wasn’t really trying. It got to the point that they were talking a lot of shit about it. So the next match I absolutely waxed them, stood up and said “I’ve been playing this game since before you were born” and walked out of the room.

She’s right. It’s disgusting. Regardless of whether or not you “soil” your undergarments (seriously?) or they smell bad, you still have bacteria and fecal matter in your underwear.  

I’m delighted for him. My former BiL caddied for him once, and said he was one of the nicest players he’d met – and he’s caddied on the European and US tours!

It’s a ground rule double because every park has the same ground rule for this type of play. I’ve never heard the term ‘automatic double’ before. That’s a new one on me.

You got me looking, and Wikipedia backs you up (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ground_rule_double) but the 2019 MLB rules (http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/official_info/official_rules/official_rules.jsp) had nothing for ‘automatic’ or ‘double’ other than automatic suspensions/putouts and double headers/double plays.

As someone who watched Ryan Howard’s end-of-career slide into complete and utter futility, I feel these fans’ pain. And, I will never understand how a team can send a guy out there, night after night, when he very clearly does not have the ability to hit at the major league level.

But then they’d be paying both of you to suck.
