It’s not really that Tesla’s piece of the pie is shrinking, but rather the pie is growing. EVs as a whole are gaining market share against ICE, which is the real battle to fight. It was never Tesla’s goal to achieve 100% EV market share, but to create an environment where a rising tide lifts all boats.

15 mpg in this type of hi-po car doesn’t bother me. Sure, maybe a handful will be daily drivers, but I’m more concerned about the truck loads of HD trucks that are both gas guzzler exempt, and sell hand over fist.

Maybe someone can spend more than 30 seconds and get a better set of cars for comparison, but 17 mpg combined seems to be the industry standard...

We don’t seem to be discussing why they are putting everything into the touch screen. It reduces cost. It’s just a cheaper implementation both in terms of parts and design cost. I’m curious how much it would add to MSRP if they had to develop a proper traditional interior.
