I would argue that a drift car of this level is as daily drivable as a track car of this seem competition level. Which aside from the ability to have greater range of steering angle and a different alignment would be the same car.

The angle that he was going right before he lost control was going to push him forward nearly drivers side first. I think the airbags did the right thing here. The car even hoped for a short interval, he was well out of control.
