Hyperbole! One hell of a drug.
Hyperbole! One hell of a drug.
This has an Indefinitely Wild vibe to it.
I’m a Hyundai salesman and I’ll admit I haven’t been in a Santa Cruz that’s loaded down, but the unladen ride is fantastic. If there’s one thing I’ll brag about for Hyundai, it’s that they consistently nail the ride/handling balance, and the Santa Cruz is no exception. I'd happily drive one daily.
Had the exact same thought when I read that comment. My favorite PS of all time
These cops sure as hell seem to rally behind “cop safety” when it means violating citizens’ human rights, racial profiling, and funding, but when it comes to something as simple as a free vaccination: “Nope, we couldn’t possibly do that!”
I’ve been in an 8 year battle with the lead of my company’s QC department over the Oxford comma. Every time I move clients, I find a way to get the client to request it so I can overrule the QC standards and make that comma standard for the team. I will likely die on this hill.
If you don’t wear a seatbelt, it is not just you you affect. Seeing your mangled remains wrecks the mental health of witness, road crews, first responders, and a lot of other folks in and around the various industries who have to deal with car wrecks and keeping roads clear. It wrecks your family, not just mentally,…
The fact that Piastri, as a rookie winner of F3 and the championship leader in F2, is unlikely to get a seat on F1 next year, is indicative of the lack of opportunities in F1 for talented juniors.
I agree with this.
F1 is not scrambling for talent. I don’t see Tsunoda, Schumacher, or Russell bailing for IndyCar. The problem is the exact opposite, and I hope the budget cap allows more teams to enter so young drivers who may not be the cream of the crop (but still show lots of promise) can move up.
40% of the grid is younger than 24. Over half are 26 or younger.
Uhhhhhhh ... what?
What an uninformed article. Do you even watch F1 and keep up to date with the driver market?
“ leaving F1 scrambling to find adequate young talent to fill its seats.”
Did this headline not feel exceedingly misleading to you? You literally quote an Italian official confirming Italy’s awareness of the need for EVs. How exactly did you come to the conclusion that Italy doesn’t care about climate change?
Counterpoint... The Fenders on U-Haul trailers are too high. Most people don’t know they are actually hinged so you can swing them down and get your doors open to get in/out of your car when it is loaded.
You’re right, I’m sorry. That was rude of me. Apologies. Thanks for the explanation, I mean it.
I just laugh at these things, make a snarky comment, and move on with my day.
I hear you. I’ve offered to give the Jalopnik (and rest of G/O media) a basic primer on IP in general, and patents in particular, because nearly every time they write about them, they screw it up. They don’t know the difference between a published application and an issued patent. They don’t know what the patent…
It’s my observation that many times it seems as if the illustrations are meant to be only to the letter of the patent, but to be as misleading as to the actual technology as possible. Call me jaded after the 1990s patent crap where patents were issued that broadly covered fundamental and pre-existing applications and…
