I did follow that thread, but that seems to be more casual trackers (yes I realize that definition is nebulous). The guys that are running faster are still all on iron rotors and don’t prefer the PCCBs and still report longevity issues.

Black interior?
AND I have coolant lines done!
Same. It’s kind of an interesting question right? At what point is the mileage too low? Is it better to have a higher mileage car or a car with low miles that might not have been driven regularly?
It’s because I have more miles on the car than most 997TTs. I probably underpriced it by about $2k, but my parking situation is a mess right now (HOA clamping down on outside parking, fiance moving in) so I’m not sure I can afford the 6 months or so average it usually takes to sell a 997TT. What I’m finding though,…
True. But that’s not a must have option for the purposes of driving. I guess what I’m saying is PCCBs are just not great on track.
“must-have option of the PCCBs equipped”
Hmm. My HOA might not like this, but I heard there’s plenty of land in the Mojave desert for sale...
“I have to tell you, I’ve always wanted one of these eggs.”
Just think of it as a spectrum. On one end of the spectrum, you have your unsynchronized gearboxes that you absolutely must double clutch or else you’ll grind. On the other end of the spectrum, you have a single speed fixed ratio. Everything else is in the middle somewhere.
And my favorite, they promised 600 hp, but this only has 580. Why would I get this with so little power when I can get the Chevy Uberpowerator with more power for the same amount of money*.
This feels like a project that Ferdinand Piech would dream up.
Just yesterday, I was talking to my fiance about all the different special editions. I think she zoned out.
The truth is, it’ll never get down to an average of $15k, at least for clean titles. Considering how much it costs to replace and repaint a clam, would you rather take $15k from someone for the car, or part it downtown, wait for someone to back into it and crack the clam, and get a check for $20k from insurance?
This comment thread really highlighted how correct you are...
More than that, there was a clam shortage awhile back that meant people were waiting more than half a year or more for clams. Insurance companies started to total the cars out just to get the cases cleared. Plenty of stories on LotusTalk about those situations.
Floating bathtubs are all the rage, I heard.
Suzuka has some of my very favorite video game corners. 130R is great. The Esses are great. Degners 1 and 2, run in combination, as well as Spoon and First Turn are challenging. It’s such a great course.
He certainly couldn’t defend Shaq.
Why rob banks when you can just ask FancyKristen for a loan?
