Honestly, I think this can be just as harmful for Black girls and Black women as elevating any other woman as the "ideal" who is slim, leggy, and toned.

There was a very lengthy profile on him a couple years back about how he changed his bad boy ways, regretted a lot of what he did, and attended therapy like 4 times a week. And how he lived with his GF who he respected and adored.

This reminds me of Tan Mom a bit. She thinks she looks good due to the cultural messages we all receive but she just looks odd. Being a contractor is just a contract arrangement. The duration of the contract term can and does fluctuate given the needs of all parties. People have been consultants for corps for years at a time. Nothing about being a consultant has a "deadline" on it.

It's one concept of justice—-I do to you what you did to me (or someone else). That is far from the only concept of "justice," but, it is one (this is based on philosophical writings and jurisprudence). Someone else died at your hand so you will be put to death. Tit for tat.

In order to compare apples to apples it makes more sense to compare Barra's starting year salary to Akerson's starting year salary. What we are doing now is comparing her starting year salary to his 4th year salary, which will of course be skewed.
