He is NOT favoured to win. I have no idea where she got that from. Russian media, perhaps. He has barely skated competitively since Vancouver. He was outskated by Canada's second, Kevin Reynolds, who landed 3 quads, one in combination with a triple toe, to Pluschenko's 1, during the team competition.

I despise Plushy - a sore loser from 2010, and aside from his jumping skills - which are incredible, especially for a 31 year old - he is completely overrated. A lot of skating around on two feet, posing, and lacking in the deep edges and connecting footwork that makes Patrick Chan the ACTUAL heavily-favoured-to-win.
