Most of the tabloids have employee contacts at the LA area hospitals who they pay for info like this. As a nurse, I was warned about it from day one and if as an employee you’re caught doing that, it’s an instant termination. In fact, you’ll probably be escorted off the hospital grounds by security.

I always get a private room now automatically. Becuase I need to be in isolation due a history of a highly contagious infection which is always now inside of me. It’s real fun, for a 29-year-old! Everybody needs a full gown, mask, and glove to enter. It’s basically a scene from Outbreak.

That is assuming that the person leaking the details didn’t overhear other medical details, i.e. medications he takes, prior substance abuse, etc. With a non-famous person, your roommate would have no reason to broadcast that. With a famous person, they would. I don’t get what people don’t understand about that.

That’s a serious injury that can kill you. She’s lucky in that she didn’t die on the spot, but this isn’t like a broken finger or even a broken wrist. It’s major.

How do you imagine you came to read this story? Somebody called TMZ and went “I just saw Calvin Harris in the ER yadda yadda can I have some money?” And that person almost certainly tried to get a photo because that’s what those people do when they see a celeb. I’d have asked for some privacy.

Statutory rape isn’t the issue — if she was under 18 when the tape was made and it gets distributed, that’s child porn.

He may not be newsworthy on his own, but because he’s Taylor Swift’s Boyfriend, he has plenty of reason to feel vulnerable to invasions of his privacy. I’m not saying it wasn’t a stupid decision, but it’s not delusional for him to anticipate a spectacle.

Yeah, I have to agree. None of us commenting here are the subject of paparazzi harassment. He might not have been worried about another ER patient so much as a tabloid photographer who could waltz right into his room and get $10k for a photo of Taylor Swift’s ex with a bloody gash across his face.

All you need to know is that the film is the one that led a film critic to first use the term Manic Pixie Dream Girl.
