I didn't even know the original characterization for Valerian, and I was skeptical. Guy looks like an asshole, I'm sorry, and the writing did nothing to change my mind.

He's less of a "Han Solo" and more of a "Sleazebaggano".

I honestly thought she was better than DeHaan. Not fantastic, but perfectly fine as the incredulous member of a "buddy cop" duo. She had some fun reaction shots, a few good lines, and she generally got the job done. I liked her well enough, even if she might have been overshadowed in a movie with better leads.

I thought it was fine. It excelled in a lot of areas, but the two leads (and some of the writing) kept it from being an outright success.

My only caveat is that the Switch needs more puzzle games to be a real 3ds successor. The Switch has action adventure, racing, fighting, a platformer and a shooter all covered this year. What it still really needs is a small addictive puzzle game in the vein of Pushmo and Box Box Boy. I need something light to kill

Honestly, I’d be fine with this...

Yeah that seems like a better option, for sure. Unfortunately none of my friends really play these games, so it wouldn’t be an option for me.

I hope this has a positive impact on the community. Thanks to Splatoon, I’ve recently become interested in shooters for the first time in my life, and Overwatch seems like a game I’d really like. The only problem is I’m also a woman, and I really don’t need that kind of toxic bullshit in my life. I suppose I could

I saw this for the first time last night. My initial thought was, “Huh, that looks like a picture of Fahey.” Then I saw it actually was you, and my new thought was, “What did you do?!”

To throw in my own two cents, I convinced myself South Park was operating on a weird "reverse psychology" wavelength for a long time. I thought the joke was that no one could actually believe all the terrible stuff they spewed, and I convinced myself I actually thought that was funny. But the truth is people

This aggravates the hell out of me. I’m trying to get better at actually killing enemies instead of just inking turf, but I feel like I always have to be the person doing this kind of cleanup work for my team. And then there’s also the opposite problem: I’ll have a roller, and another guy is right behind me inking the

Oh god, team Pearl is going to get killed with the anti-mayo agenda, and there are going to be soooo many splooge jokes.

After telling you I thought she was creepy I did a complete 180 and decided I LOVE HER! If Marina is Lapis, Pearl is Peridot! My creepy little gremlin <3.

I know it's early, but did you misspell Pearl?

It's funny because cellphone culture is even more of a thing in Japan, isn't it? I guess this is what happens when your 60 year old uncles decide to design a phone app.

It doesn't necessarily mean "to fuck something up", although that happens regularly. The closest translation is "to do in the most ridiculously ass-backwards way possible".

nope! This is the first Nintendo home console I've owned, apart from a wii I picked up last year.

Typo, but it's sure staying, now!

Any thoughts on Nintendo managing to Nintendo their online service again? I have mixed feelings. On one hand, it's dispiriting that they still can't get it right, but on the other hand I'm relieved I won't have racial slurs thrown at me every time I want to be a squid/kid.

I also played the Splatoon 2 demo and felt like I did much worse than in the first demo. I'm still very excited, but I feel like I might need a "Shooter Tutor" of my own, because the roller is really the only weapon I'm competent with. I'm hoping the single player will kelp me work out some of the kinks with guns
