I think the joke is that it's a silly rap, Mr. Cranky Pants.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it, but I'm always surprised to hear how often some people eat in restaurants, especially in sit-down restaurants as a family like this. Seems to me that making a meal at home might be easier and faster than getting the family in the car and driving to a restaurant for dinner…
Sorry I could have phrased that better. I agree with you. I don't understand why the author needs a special kids menu meant to "broaden his kid's palate" when he could just be ordering off the regular menu. I agree, the regular kid's menu is just fine, because it's specifically for kids who might be less adventurous.
Good point about profit margins. I suppose they could give half a portion and knock a buck or two off an entree's price, but then parents would be mad about the portions.
I guess I don't see why there needs to be a kid's menu at all. If you want your kid to branch out, why would they need food specifically tailored to their palates? If the issue is portion size, maybe restaurants would be better served by offering smaller portions for kids.
It feels like a solution looking for a problem. If you don't want them ordering of the kids menu, get something else. If another adult entree is too expensive, maybe don't eat out as much?
I'm going to watch his entire run this summer, I think!
The Max relationship ALWAYS bugged me. It strikes me as really unethical to date a student's mom (especially when they are in a class you teach!), and it was such a selfish move for Lorelai. I get it, it sucks that there's a guy you're attracted and he's the first guy you've wanted an actual relationship with for a…
Fuck you, Internet.
I like cracking jokes too, but ya know what I’ve never thought? Like not when I’m drunk, certainly not when I’m buzzed from making other people laugh?
Oh hey, I wrote that question.
OMG, I need Liza Weil on Riverdale! Talk about a character actress that would fit right in on that show!
I love Luke!
Yeah, I don't mind the conflict in theory, but I hate how long the show decided to keep them apart. Had I been watching in real time as it was airing, it would have been months and months, and even with the ability to binge the show, it was too much. I also think it affected me more because the first time I got to…
I don’t know that it’s that surprising, Splatoon is a great game! Also, while Zelda and Mario kart are indeed on the WiiU, you have to remember how many people skipped out on that generation. I never had one, but I bought the Switch so I could play them.
My biggest worry is actually that they'll overuse her. She's in the first movie the perfect amount (which is surprisingly little!) If she was in every other scene, I don't think her character would have been so special.
They were probably thinking of themselves as the oppressed minority.
Yeah, my problems are with Moffat more than anything else. I like the actors being cast, but I got burnt out on Moffat's twee bullshit.
I was the same way. I haven't really followed along since Capaldi's first season, but the female companion (and a new show runner!) are more than enough to get me back next year.
I do take a bit of pride in being the first person I knew to watch the show way before it became whatever kind of phenomenon it currently is (of course, I'm speaking of NuWho, I had never even heard of Doctor Who before I saw the crazy cat nunnery episode on TV and frantically googled to see what it was).
