Please tell me you can turn off “tap x to run”.

I’m happy to hear your staff will have more protections in place, but I have a few questions.
And sending the kid to a charter school in Philly reads as not wanting him to mix with the “wrong crowd”, *wink wink*.
Speaking of spoilers, about how many new shrines are there? Also, can we stumble upon them without starting the DLC quest?
I tried to play on the 3ds but I couldn’t get into it for a number of reasons.
First of all, Jason is a big fan of JRPG’s.
Jason, I’m happy you did this review. I was on the fence about getting this but had a lot of misgivings. I am glad you are being brutally honest about your opinion, even if it’s not the one a lot of people want to hear or agree with. I was worried about a lot of things you mentioned: the battle system being…
If I could only choose one game, it would be Jade Empire. I’ve never had a chance to play it before, and unlike KOTOR it’s not available for other platforms. I really hope that changes.
There’s also a Splatoon bundle with some pretty sweet looking pink and green joycons. Splatoon is great if you have any interest in that title.
I’ve seen them at Best Buy and Walmart, too. No need to specifically seek out a Target if it’s inconvenient.
I really doubt there will be a price cut for Black Friday, but there is a Mario Odyssey bundle coming out with red controllers and a case. You won’t save money, but you’ll get all the essentials you’ll need off the bat.
It doesn’t do a great job of explaining every mechanic, but seriously it’s not that hard to jump in or even look up a few tips.
I still think the original map is the best. The others get too claustrophobic if you start adding buildings.
Last time I played Stardew I was focusing on efficiency, and I don’t want to say I ruined the game, but I got burnt out by the end of year one. There are only so many crops I want to harvest in a day, and I don’t want to feel like I’m constantly rushing.
Don’t worry about being unfamiliar with Harvest Moon, btw. It follows the same template but is its own thing.
Just to throw out another opinion, I played it on XBox and it was fine. Maybe a little clunky at times, but never a deal breaker. I sunk a few dozen hours into it.
I never played any of them. Honestly Stardew was my entry point to the genre. What DS game do you like?
I don’t know if you’ve played any Harvest Moon games, but this is essentially a love letter to the earlier ones with tons of quality life improvements. Do you like other sims, especially older ones like Rollercoaster Tycoon? It’s the satisfaction of micromanaging and budgeting a farm, along with memorable characters…
While waiting for the STV port, I started playing Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town, and the portability factor really makes these games sing. I liked Stardew on Xbox, but it’s so freeing to know I can pick up a handheld at any time and be right where I left off. I don’t need to do a marathon session (although…
More, although golf story is also great.
