To be fair, that press conference was not good. They didn't focus on new games enough, and they made Arms look like a joke. I couldn't remember what my impression was after the conference, so I just checked:

I noticed that too, but I didn't know if it was just the store I went to. They even had the giant Guardian amiibo. That said the rest of their Switch section was a barren wasteland. I don't know if they had half the games in stock because instead of having a game case on display, they had those plastic jewel cases…

I actually like Ashley a lot, and think she reveals hidden depths if you really explore her dialogue tree. The space racism isn't great and while it's not justified, it's in character considering her military history. Also, she actually grows as a character (less space racist, yay!) unlike Kaiden.

I take back everything I said about it being accessible to newcomers! The first 3 dungeons are fine, but once you get to the dark world the difficulty seems to spike unreasonably. It's partially the amount of enemies the game crams into tiny rooms, and also the fact that there seem to be an obnoxious amount of enemies…

Yeah, it's not a great looking game. The environments still look decent for a game from that era but the character animations and the overall design choices really date the game. I always forget that DA:O came out after Mass Effect, because the latter looks so much better.

That's gonna be my next Zelda but I refuse to start it until I finally finish one of the two I'm STILL neglecting. At least I finally got out of Misery Mire. Unfortunately that means I'll be going to Turtle Rock.

I do like him more than Kaiden at least. He's nice and bland, but at least he's a little snarky unlike dead-eyed Kaiden.
