I agree with you on the combat (I like DA2 in general), but I never played the PC version of DA:O which is supposed to be superior.
I wanted to play another Dragon Age game, but all the open world stuff in Inquisition is a high bar of entry. Despite being quite similar to Andromeda, I think it's a much better game - albeit one that would also be improved by ditching the majority of its open world bullshit.
thanks! That's the kind of shit I'm worried about. Can the treaties be done in any order?
I never played the first: does it seem like they're changing a lot of stuff.
You don't have an Xbox 1 do you? If so, Blue Dragon is backwards compatible.
Hey squid kids: If you have a Switch and any interest in picking up Spla2n, there's going to be a pre-release Splatfest on July 15th.
I am trying to play Dragon Age: Origins again, and I've made it farther than ever before. Not only did I finish my character's origin, I lit the beacon and stuff! I still don't love the combat, but I think I have more patience for it than I did before. Even if it's not compelling, I still like the world and the…
Yeah, but I still don't consider that to be The AV Club speaking in an official capacity.
I learned some German in high school. Sprechen sie Deutsche, and all that jazz.
I was honestly turned off of the Dissolve by the shadiness surrounding that. I wonder if I would have read it more if there was more transparency?
I'm also trying the Spanish one, more for fun than anything. It's fine, but I'm already getting frustrated by pronouns and verb forms. Although, to be fair, that would immediately frustrate me with a more traditional method of learning a language
Yeah, this bugs me more than the straight up political articles, honestly. It's like I can't go 10 seconds without being dragged back down into misery. They're not even clever quips they always go for the easiest jokes and hot takes.
No, I'm on the one where I have to shoot this thing on the ceiling, and then bring a statue to life that hits it with a hammer. It's not super difficult but it's a pain in the ass.
We're referencing an article that said AVC is switching platforms, but no one at the site has even mentioned Kinja so we're in the dark, unfortunately.
I've been working my way through Twilight Princess and Link to the Past, and I'm currently at the second to last dungeon in both. It's not that it'll be hard to finish, but in TP I'm on a really obnoxious boss, and in LTTP the whole dungeon is a trial.
Has anyone around here learned a language as an adult? If so, can you tell me a bit about your methodology? I'm trying to learn Japanese, and while Duolingo seems to work well for learning Hiragana and some vocab, I have my doubts about learning more complicated stuff.
Mine was fine. I did a little shopping and spent the evening hanging out with friends. It seemed like a small thing, but I've been especially reclusive lately due to depression and general moodiness concerning the state of the world. I'm not at the point of saying that socialization made me feel SO MUCH BETTER, but I…
When do you find it's time to put down a video game for something new? I've been stalling at completing both games I'm currently playing, but I don't want to start something new instead I finish. It doesn't help that I am currently utterly lacking motivation in general.
Also, the writers have a way of politicizing completely benign pop culture articles with easy quips and jabs at the current administration. I don't want the writers to censor their opinions, but they always seem to go for the easiest jokes (often incorrect ones, too), and then we're all suddenly arguing about…
