Playing Mario Kart 8 has me reconsidering my preconceived notions of multiplayer games. I always thought the barrier of entry was too high to really feel competitive, but Mario Kart has bolstered my confidence a bit, and I'm wildly excited for Splatoon 2. I've finally felt that endorphin rush you get when you're in

Like Crash 3: Warped!

I hope you like Crash Bandicoot! Those games were some of my favorites, although Spyro was my one true love. Just keep in mind that the first game can be a little rough and isn't totally indicative of the series. Things really fall into place with 2 and 3.

I'm still playing Mario Kart 8: Dexluxe if only because it's very convenient and pleasant when I'm watching TV or getting ready to sleep. I've been slacking off on all my other games to play against people online and, honestly, it's been great. I mainly bought it so I'd have *something* else to play on the Switch, but

Thisis a fine update, but I still feel like the matchmaking needs work. Some matches I’ll be grouped with people within 500 points of my lowly 1800, but other times the range will be in the thousands. I thought 5000+ was about the worst it could get until this weekend when I was matched with a player that had accrued

Hey, Sam Worthington is not a monster.

But it's not posted on the main page where "casual readers" can see it, is it?

Where is this even listed on the site? I've seen these pop up in Disqus dozens of times, but have yet to see the articles on the site itself.

"Honestly, I wonder if kids watching "Itchy and Scratchy" bits on The Simpsons today even get the joke"

Wow, you’re a lot angrier about this than I am when my butts getting kicked in a video game. Maybe because I can turn down the difficulty and have fun?

Yeah, more than dying, repeating progress is what I hate. I’ve died died hundreds of time in horizon zero dawn, but checkpoints are plentiful and the autosave is forgiving. I’ve considered picking up dark souls before, but I know the campfire system would drive me crazy.

Not everyone plays games for a challenge, either. I’ve been playing games my entire life, but I mainly play for new experiences and stories, not to test myself against difficult ai. Challenges are good, but I feel no shame if i turn down the difficulty due to frustration. At the end of the day, I want to have fun.

There are definitely options for smartphones (I had a Moga one for a while), but I never looked into options for a tablet. I was pretty unimpressed by the experience of emulating games on my phone, so I pretty much stick to my 3ds and Switch now. Dedicated hardware will always beat a phone for me, but it’s nice to

Violence is no laughing matter!

"If Daffy Duck's beak flipped to the back of his head, you wouldn't see black feathers, you'd see a gaping hole and viscera! Daffy would be deformed!"

I think you mean, "I internalized those violent images and am currently a serial killer", right?

Did anyone else notice Looney Tunes were, like, violent and stuff? And they had jokes and references to pop culture only adults would understand?!

Nah we're a long way from that.

I read it and I disagreed. Changing the instrument and adding a flourish aren't exactly transformative.

But he's not really changing the genre, just the instrument. This videos hypothesis is basically that the song's melody is still recognizable on other instruments.
