I remain optimistic. The dolphin emulator is very successful and well optimized even on lesser pcs, so I'm confident Nintendo can make it work.

It wasn't that bad in the US. I remember seeing posts about preorder availability for at least 3 days after they went live. And then a lot of retailers got extra units when the Switch launched if people were willing to wait in line. I know the best buy I went to got something like 60 extra units.

I just really want to play older games on my Switch, and SNES games are the tip of the iceberg. My dream is to have access to Gamecube era games (fingers crossed), and yes, I would play them. I'm currently working my way through a bunch of them on a wii, so being able to take those games anywhere would be hugely

That's such a piss poor experience, though. The only way to viably play real games on a cellphone or tablet is with a bluetooth controller, and then you're back to the issue of having to carry something separate. Plus, I don't want to be draining my phone's battery with games.

Indeed. I'd still prefer to play these games on the Switch, though. *screams into the night about Virtual Console*

It's kind of annoying messaging. I was under the impression that the NES Mini's production ended because they wanted to only focus on the switch. Instead it feels like they're splitting their production power and attention 3 ways.

I feel bad for any electronics retail employee who has to deal with this. From all accounts, the NES Mini was a nightmare because it was in such high demand, and customers could get pretty rude and demanding. Hopefully Nintendo sorts out their supply chain or communicates that this is actually a limited run.

Seems like it’ll be a neat solution for collectors but I honestly just want these games on my Switch. SNES games are great on the 3ds. but they are a little hard to appreciate on the small screen. The Switch like the perfect device for SNES games - with the caveat that it still lacks a joypad. Hmm.

He’s probably making vectors. Vector images are a series of lines connected by points, and instead of simply drawing a like (like with the paint tool), you bend and manipulate the line to change it’s shape. The other nice benefit of vectors is that they don’t have a resolution so they can be endlessly resized without

Yeah I'm surprised too, but I'll admit I don't read Silicon Valley reviews. Podmass comments were fine.

I'm really surprised he mentioned AV Club, at least if he was referring to Podmass. I don't remember seeing anything vitriolic there, I got the sense that the people who listened were big fans.

You're welcome! Like I said before, I paid 30 and was more than happy with the amount of content I got simply from Nuka World and Far Harbor. You're gonna have a blast!

Seems like this will be really hard on the USB-C port in the bottom. If the Switch gets knocked and falls over, that port’s going to break.

Also, a Marvel movie that's blessedly less than 2 hours long.

In my (biased) opinion, it's more successful than most Marvel movies. It has one story and sticks with it, it's character driven, and there's plenty of humor. Plus at 115 minutes it doesn't overstay its welcome, which is a goddam blessing with modern blockbusters.

Yeah, what the hell is this rewrite of history? I remember it being very well received, including here.

I'm two episodes in and I like it so far, but some of the dialogue just thuds for me, espescially Marc Maron's lines (this might also be his delivery). It's a fun show, but it still feels a little by the numbers.

Yeah but they could go in a new direction with her look. She doesn't have to be disco does she?

Holy fuck that would be great! She even has Green hair right now.

I always forget I can use stasis on enemies.
