Witcher 3 had some great writing, but I honestly like Horizon better. Horizon is basically what you get when you take Witcher 3's quests and add a combat system that I actually enjoy. Also, leveling is way less frustrating. It seems impossible to not end up over-leveled in Witcher 3 if you want to do any side quests

It's sort of both.

I'm STILL not done with Zelda either! In my defense I'm taking my time because I want to finish every shrine in the game, but wow, so much content. It's crazy that I'm still seeing new stuff this far in.

Cauldrons are no joke! I did that first cauldron when I was a few levels higher than recommended, and the end boss (which I won't spoil in case you haven't finished) fucked my shit up.

"I find that I'm so disoriented in first-person when it comes to finding out who is shooting you from where."

This is the game that got me to purchase a PS4 two years ago and I am not disappointed in the slightest. You'll have a blast!

I suppose that if the combat has a flaw, it's that I don't feel incentivized to branch out to more weapons. The regular bow, precision bow, and tripwalker and indispensable, but I rarely find a need to work other weapons into combat. I still feel like I have plenty of options with that limited palate, but the other

Interesting. Would you have still wanted it to be a shooter? What would you have changed about the combat?

Awesome! I will check those out.

Did you use the slingshot at all? I'll mess around with that occasionally, but it still seems a little hard to deal with. It's mainly nice when I have a mob of small enemies to take out, but I don't find myself in that situation very often.

It's honestly shocking that so few games have implemented a similar "new conversations" indicator. This was a huge annoyance for me in Andromeda (and older Mass Effects, frankly), so it's surprising that it's not wider spread. Even an icon on a map would help, or a star when you highlight a characters name.

Congrats on graduating! I hope your job search goes well.

Thanks! This sounds interesting.

Yes! I usually suck at stealth games, but it's mainly because I'm impatient. I hate waiting for enemies to move into position, and I'm often not fast enough to avoid them, so I'll end up half-assing things and getting myself killed. To be fair, this still happens in Horizon, but it's much less frustrating. I never

Infinite is such a gorgeous game. I've said it before, but I would have enjoyed the game more if I could have just skipped combat. The story and design were great (especially the design, I know the story has issues), but the combat is such a drag. Even if I wanted to explore, I often avoided it because I didn't want

Neat! Which designs did you go with?

I'd like recommendations for long form video game criticism. I know there are some channels on Youtube that tackle movies/tv, and countless podcasts (I'm currently listening to Blank Check with Griffen Newman and David Siiiiiims), but I'm having difficulty finding the same kind of criticism for games. Most of the

Hello everyone! I've been steadily making progress through Horizon: Zero Dawn and enjoying every minute! It's not often that I enjoy combat this much, and I find myself taking on more challenges than I normally would in similar games. Despite loving RPG's (and playing a lot of them), I don't consider myself an

I understand skepticism towards any kind of unverifiable allegations, but their lable immediately dropping them certainly lends credence to the claims. I can't imagine a lable being so willing to take a loss - especially on an up and coming band with a new album - unless they knew something was up. Plus that apology

Most people who have played demos said it was a lot of fun, and had more depth than anticipated. I won’t be shocked if it becomes a hit.
