I was really young when I saw this movie (HBO ran it frequently) and for a while thought it was a documentary on the making of The Wizard of Oz.

Under the Rainbow (1981) is a fictional - but probably not too far off - take on the crazy antics of the supporting cast of The Wizard of Oz.
