I agree, TOS is a product of its time and it’s time to move past it. It was terrible seeing the Defiant in ‘In a Mirror, Darkly’ (ENT) and that was a pretty great two-parter, we don’t need more TOS. 

Star Trek has always been a show first and foremost about the stories not the tech.

I disagree, I don’t feel like Star Trek has to be tied to the vision of the future that people in the 1960's had, limited by their budget and the available special effects technology of the day.

That episode played up the cheese for laughs. Do you want Trek to become a parody of itself?

That part. I was waiting to see who had that thought because it’s the first one I had. As much as I hate to admit it, all of this is political theatre and an exercise in keeping us engaged against each other instead of against the real issues.

The Youtube version of the trailer tells us that the alt-Right is out in force today, and they are committed to displaying what gutter people they are. I made the mistake of looking at the comments after seeing the high number of ‘dislikes’ on the YT posting, and my eyes are still stinging from the toxic cesspool.
